喜來得屋度假村(Heritage House Resort & Spa)

This place is very gorgeous and their property is big and walkable. You can enjoy some wonderful ocean views without interruptions! I will be back. Restaurant food was always good and staff is very nice ..we enjoyed talking to them. They also had good cocktails. Our room was great with a fireplace and an ocean view. Large king-sized bed, and heated floors in the bathroom. Plus they had coffe and fridge. The only thing I noticed that could be improved was our walls had a lot of scuffs and scratches on them, the baseboards too.. repainting could really brighten the place up for the guests.

Positives: a beautifully located property; recently remodeled villas; our villa was ocean facing, had a patio, an electric fireplace, comfortable bed and a beautiful, spacious bathroom; great restaurant and lounge: the restaurant has great menu and wonderful cocktails. Negatives: they don't do everyday room service blaming it on pandemic (pandemic is over): while checking in we weren't told about availability of robes and slippers, while those would have been very useful during our three day stay; the wifi worked very poorly; we didn't have tv signal and the hotel wasn't able to fix it; while checking out at the mention of the unfixed tv issue we weren't offered any discount or compensation for it. We think the property could benefit from having an outdoor hot tub and sauna - it would have been great to have access to such amenities during the cold evenings we spent there.

Heritage House's large property is beautiful and incredible: many units are private and have awesome views of ocean cliffs. The property in Little River is also centrally located to Mendocino, Ft. Bragg and Elk. There are many choices among studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and adjoining units. Our unit had multiple repairs that were needed, which we addressed with management. Some repairs were taken care of while we were there, but others required more time than our stay. The new General Manager is enthusiastic and sincere about completing necessary repairs and renovations, so if we return to the Mendocino area for a getaway we would again consider staying at the Heritage House.

The room was poorly organized: the closet door would not fully open, there were no drawers for clothing. 2 separate housekeeping staff failed to bring requested supplies. Doors to bathroom are heavy and badly balanced. Very disappointed.

Beautiful grounds and views. The room was plain and cold due to lack of special touches such as an area rug and artwork. The heated bathroom floors did not work. It would have made a big impact if they did. I was told it was an electrical issue that required a professional. The robes and slippers are by request only. For the $500 nightly rate, just put them in the room. The shower was absolutely amazing! It was a treat to sleep with the sliding door open and listen to crashing waves and breathing ocean air. Clean. Under 10 minute drive to historic Mendocino. Nice breakfast at the restaurant.

Fantastic stay! The front desk receptionist named Duck was particularly kind, enthusiastic and friendly. Such a warm welcome! They even upgraded our room as it was our anniversary. Cannot recommend this hotel enough, what a beautiful place!

Heritage House property is 2nd to none for outside beauty. The grounds of the property are simply breathtaking. The cabins are spacious and comfortable and have everything you need. Only one real complaint, Lighting in the bathroom of our cabin was very dim and they really need to work on installing better lighting. All cabins have amazing ocean views with outside decks for relaxing with your glass of wine. Overall an excellent experience.

This is an absolutely beautiful property! The restaurant manager Dori was wonderful, as was the breakfast and views! “Duck” at front desk was a joy to deal with. We are making plans to bring all the family in San Francisco and Vancouver to meet here next year! Thank you Lindy!
