Met with cousins on Sunday here and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Food was very good and staff very attentive It was very busy, so considering you have to drive here it’s a testament to the fact that they are doing things correctly Excellent

Went today - was driving past and popped in - superb in every way - friendly helpful staf, beautiful food and great decor. Went out of their way to make sure we had a good time and will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

A last-minute booking and so pleased to have discovered it. The hosts couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating, and some really nice touches in the bedroom for the dog, including a special bed and unique treats. Comfortable, well-appointed and quiet bedroom. Excellent shower. Comfy, large bed. Decided to opt for room service dinner as the dog was too excited to settle in the pub...nothing was too much trouble for the staff here. Throughly enjoyed a relaxed breakfast with the newspaper the next morning, after a wander through the nearby fields first thing. Highly recommended.

To our dismay we found that a table of 20 who were seated after us were served with food before us , as were other tables . The restaurant probably has about a 100+ covers and was at around 30% occupancy so you would have thought kitchen could cope but no ! After waiting 45 + minutes , now 2.15pm + for food we complained but the waitress started arguing with us and telling us the 2 chefs in the kitchen were hot . At no stage we were informed there maybe a delay and waitresses were unapologetic . Taking orders for the pre meal drinks was a little slow as was the serving of them which also delayed the food orders . We had pre booked a table for 1.15pm for 6 of which 4 were sat at the table 1.15 , the other 2 from 1.30pm . The Restuarant knew we were coming as we pre booked . To sit a table of 20 down after 1.30 and take their food orders and serve them before we had our mains around 2.30pm we thought was appalling Our complaints fell on deaf ears and staff became argumentative . Suffice to say we will not be returning . The staff may need retraining on giving priority to customers on a first come first served basis as clearly this was non existent today in our experience . Catch of the Day by the way was salmon fillets ( just like you can find on a supermarket shelf )

We had an absolutely fantastic time here - we came to celebrate our 14th anniversary and stayed for dinner, bed and breakfast. The food was faultless, the staff are excellent and our room was impeccable. Every little detail had been thought of, we just loved it from start to finish! Thank you so much for such a fabulous stay! We will definitely return. The one tiny bit of feedback which I hope is helpful, is whether or not there could be a mixture of more comfy chairs in the pub ;)

Ate at this restaurant today with family. Every member of staff we encountered was an absolute professional. Super-helpful, friendly, knowledgeable - and, absolutely on it when it comes to people with access issues. Last but not least, the food is delicious.

Amazing place, lovely decor and setting, such friendly and professional staff and above all The Best Ploughmans EVER! Other food also great!

This is a bit of a hidden gem. A short drive from Wells and Glastonbury. There are also nice footpaths around the village of Litton and the reservoir. There was a slight hiccup with the room choice but we were given a free upgrade to compensate. We had the luxury room with the roll top bath. The room was immaculately maintained. We had requested one that didn’t overlook the car park and was a bit further from the bar but there was no noise after about 11. A recommendation would be to add blinds and keep the curtains closed during the day before guests arrive. Luckily for us it wasn’t too hot when we stayed. Bathroom nice and spacious, bed comfy. Plenty of tea and coffee. I loved the restaurant food. So great to have pie with chunks of meat and the veg was just the right side of crispy. We also had drinks in the outside areas. And the staff were all incredibly attentive and helpful.

The meal we had here was good, the Rose wine was ok. The atmosphere was quiet but we did come here at the start of food service. Would come back.

Perfect stay from start to finish. Team were absolutely wonderful, including Ollie and George who went above and beyond. Booked for my wife’s surprise birthday and couldn’t fault. Room was cosy, clean, decorated wonderfully. They’d thought of everything to make it a lovely stay. Food was delicious

A hidden gem nestled in the countryside. I visited with my mum after reading the reviews and we weren't disappointed - the food was absolutely delicious, staff were very freindly and welcoming, and the rooms were beautiful. Lovely walks nearby and location is so peaceful. We will definitely be returning, thank you for a wonderful stay.

What a little gem of a place this is. We stayed in Oatfields and what a lovely spacious room. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows perfect! No noise so we slept like logs! Breakfast choice was excellent with plenty to choose from even for a fussy eater like me.

It's a 'no brainer' to give The Litton 5☆'s. Situated on the edge of the village, set well back from the road, this pub/hotel is in a great location. There are seating areas to the front, side and rear of the premises, some of which are covered, for protection against the sun, or showers, with several of them also including heaters, for cooler times. Inside also offers several different, tastefully decorated eating areas/styles, so take your pick. Sally, the owner, has clearly invested a lot of time, effort and expense into designing and then decorating this place, as attention to detail is all around to see. That too goes for the staff. A young, energetic, very courteous and attentive team, without being intrusive. At the time of our visit, The Litton was not too busy, so I was fortunate to be able to have a chat with the general manager, George. Clearly very passionate about The Litton and has obviously invested a lot of himself into making the place and his team a well oiled machine. George himself deserves 5☆'s alone. The food and drink we enjoyed on a Friday evening was so good, we returned the following morning, for breakfast and the prices were very competitive too. You can tell the difference between this privately owned establishment and some of the large hotel chains, as the staff here clearly care about their customers and all seemed happy in their work. If we didn't live over 150 miles away, this would be our new local. So if you are in the area, pay a visit to The Litton, I'm sure you will receive a warm welcome
