Faultless! We were 2 couples stauying in Pearl. The welcome was so freindly and genuine, including being picked up from the airport after a short flight from Athens. The villa was spotless....and then cleaned every day, including clean towels, top up of coffee, toiletries etc. The beds were extremely comfotable, the showers were great and all the furniture was of good quality. Ilias, Aleka and Georgia could not do enough to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Whenever we had questions regarding the villa, the local amenities and the island as a whole, there were there to help. As for Astypalea itself.....fantastic! We hired scooters (all sorted and delivered to the villa by Ilias) and were able to visit many of the beutiful local beaches, including walking down the hill to Livadi. All the beach tavernas seemed to serve great local food and we were never dissapointed in the evening in Livadi itself. The town of Chora is definitely worth a visit, as is the castle. WE also recommend the various boat trips on offer. A great island, not busy (end June to mid July), few non-Greeks and everybody so friendly - the local supermarket guys were very helpful.....and delivered our shopping up the hill!
