Excellent hotel,restaurant and bar were excellent. Rooms plenty big enoughand comfortable.Staff were all excellent and friendly. Overall a lovely stay.

Excellent hotel the staff were helpful and attentive. Very clean room with air conditioning which was needed as it was a very hot day, with tea making facilities and even biscuits as a kind gesture. Would recommend staying here and will no doubt book in again. Bar had a range of beers and a good selection of draughts as well as spirits available to choose from. There was ample parking round the back of the hotel. Just don't forget to put your vehicle registration at check in. All in all a good stay.

The hotel itself isn't in the best physical condition, but the staff were genuinely superb. I was very impressed with the standard of service I received, and although the rooms could, at best, be described as tired, the staff are really what won me over.

Standard Holiday Inn, you know what you’re getting. Overall OK value and clean. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and English breakfast was very nice. The only negative was the room size, not easy to navigate with two people trying to get ready for a night out but hey, wasn’t expensive, it was clean with a very good shower and staff were great. Will return when next in the area.

Lovely clean room with a super comfy bed. Nice breakfast with lots of choice. Friendly helpful staff. Great location just off the motorway

Holiday Inn hotels are great for families with young children, needing to share a room with their offspring. - free meals for children off a limited children's menu - free stay and happy to provide extra camp beds if needed. Few hotels are family friendly in this way. This Holiday Inn was comfortable, quiet and fairly nicely decorated. Although starting to look a little tired, they are refurbishing soon, apparently. Service at reception, the bar, restaurant and breakfast was excellent and welcoming. The room was easily large enough to accommodate 2 adults and 2 or 3 children, with beds made up for the children. Breakfast was excellent, too.

The major road works on Wakefield road made matters very inconvenient.
