One word, Disgust By far the worst hotel we've stayed in Wall paper hanging from ceiling Lift was 2-3 inches drop from floor Shower full of mould, rust on shower pipe, hair all round toilet base. They were told but ignored us Left a day early Worst Hotel ever

First of all this is a 'Budget hotel' and it doesn't profess to be anything else. I paid £70 (seventy pounds) for two nights B&B in Llandudno. It was more than adequate, yes it's a bit run down, the carpets threadbare in places, the floorboards creek, the walls are paper thin and the shower can't make up it's mind whether to run hot or cold (mainly cold, but does warm up after about 10-15 mins). It has a 5 (five) star rating for cleanliness and the breakfast choice was very good and was good. Yes it's run down and needs revamping , BUT (and it's a big BUT) £70 for two nights B&B in Llandudno is incredible. It's probably NOT the place for a romantic weekend but, for a cheap weekend away it can't be beaten. I shall definitely staying there again and again. It has free entertainment in the evenings in the basement so cannot be heard from the second floor where my room was, it has a lift and is dog friendly.

Booked last minute through booking .com after mix up with usual hotel. No time to check reviews thought £108 for night was reasonable. How wrong could I have been? I would not stay here again if it was free! Worst hotel room I’ve ever been in (wife still not speaking to me). I understand it’s a budget hotel, I understand times are hard, but if a room is not fit for purpose it should not be used or at least reflected in the price. There should be a view of the great orme from the bedroom window but the glass was so dirty you could barely see it! Carpet was stained and frayed, bulbs missing from fittings and the shower just dribbled out either red hot or freezing cold. Musty smelling, dusty and mouldy. To say this hotel needs refreshing is an understatement it needs closing and totally refurbishing. Staff are friendly, food was ok, there was even entertainment. However non of this makes up for the condition of the hotel.

Absolutely the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed in , all the decor terrible , wallpaper falling off the walls , room was freezing 🥶 the showers were vile , mouldy , water trickled out of the showers. Skin was itchy and uncomfortable 😣 brown marks on towels , room not clean. That bad I left early and to top it off I poured milk on my weetabix in the morning and put a big spoon in my mouth and the milk was Sour 😩👊🏼 honestly need to close this dive 🤬

The entertainment at this hotel is fantastic. That is where the compliments end. I’ve travelled the world and stayed in a lot of places but this is by far the worst I’ve experienced! I will always write a positive review when a place deserves one but sadly I’m here to warn others DO NOT BOOK! This hotel needs a complete makeover- it seems nothing has been altered since the 70s! Shoddy decor, awful damp smell in the room, condensation on the windows, a bed on wheels, metal bits sticking out of the wall, silver fish in the bath, a tiny tv that didn’t work at all, a soaking wet cloth on the tea tray, all of the coffees/teas/sugars stuck together as if they’d not been replaced in months, peeling wallpaper…the list is endless! At dinner we were served tasteless food including lukewarm, dry chicken, dry chocolate cake (I spat it out it was so bad!) and out of date cheese! Disgusting! I’m probably forgetting numerous other things but I’m including photos as proof! So sad as I’m sure this place was once a wonderful hotel but it seems ZERO care has gone in to it in a long time! I’d be so embarrassed if I worked here! Such a shame!

Brilliant entertainment. We stayed in the hotel for an annual get together, luckily the company and entertainment were brilliant, alas the place is in need of a total makeover. Our room was pretty awful, curtains different lengths, the shower doors ran off their hinges, so not good. We had no heat in the room, only bathroom. The tv didn’t work, so a team member came to fix it, but you still couldn’t see a proper picture. The food was ok. The staff worked hard and did their best but place is needing a lot of money spending on it.

This is by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in .it was truly horrendous the rooms were dirty and the bathroom was unbelievable .A pile of dirty towels were in the bottom of the wardrobe .we had horrible grey sheets .the lift was out of order we were told it was a new fault but i see it is still a complaint now.the window sills in the main lounge were dirty with dead flies . Now having said all that the food was ok the staff in the dining room were great . We will definitely not be returning .

Firstly this is not a groan at the staff ,they can only work with whats available . This hotel needs a complete total revamp that does not come cheap I get that however it's not disabled friendly at all so avoid at all costs, no ramps ,lift very dangerous .some hand rails down to ballroom loose and wobbly ,not sure who the handy man is but his work leaves the mind boggling . Can't speak for all the rooms but ours was horrible room 15 , I know others was to. It smelt ,pillows where as flat as a penny & old ,the mattress base didn't join up ,the mattress itself needs condemning, the curtains wasn't long enough to cover the window small window had only a voil. One socket behind chest of drawers for TV, Kettle ,had to keep swapping to charge phones up .Duvet was paper thin ,The whole room made me feel dirty .The bathroom was so botched up it should be chucked in a skip. White toilet ,pink sink ,shower looked like its been repaired several times and not to any standard at all .Floor boards creaked like mad .Food ok ,entertainment ok . They do try hard and I've given an honest review. Its a shame really but needs a lot of money to bring it to a standard of even a 2 star

When we stopped outside the Risboro, the first thing that I seen the O was hanging off the end sign,the mature maid, came on to the bus, well we are short staffed, you will have to make your own beds, empty your bins, if you need towels before Wednesday it a £ 1, the first room that we got the keys for, was not maid up, change of room. The rooms are well dated, the sink in the toilet was pink with a crack in it, the shower doors did not fully close gap in middle, the shower base had a crack in it, someone had tried to put silicone to repair it. The room was not of a good standing at all. The halls are tight and the floors squeaked as you walked. Dinner on the first night was a disaster, the young maid took our order, after 30 to 34 minutes she came to tell us that what my wife ordered was not available, their was none left, she could have a ham salad, not wanting a ham salad we left and went out to eat, no apologies given. Day 2, sitting waiting to give our orders for food, no one was forthcoming, we are sitting at a table with young aged pensioners, after about 20-25 minutes, I raise my hand to get attention, the the young maid came over and what did we order, we’ve not ordered I say, you should of ordered this morning, no one told us too, off she goes and informed the mature maid, she comes over to our table and starts saying it’s our fault for not ordering in the morning, no one told us to iI said, no one told us too, it got heated and my wife and myself,were asked to leave, no dinner again. Day 3, this time at breakfast, pieces of paper to order your dinner. Day 4, they try to make this a big deal out of this. Dinner in the ballroom, asked in the morning, what we what we to eat, placed order, went done for dinner to be asked again what we wanted to eat, with the sly comment , never thought you would of turned up. At all times we showed the younger staff full respect. As for the mature one, I would go back to Llandudno, nice place, not the Risboro.
