Lovely place and atmosphere, food was good as well.

We were 9 Bikers on an annual trip On arrival we were welcomed by Jo Approachable fun woman Later joined by Lyndsey the owner also very friendly and knowledgable We sat with many of the locals and also found them to be super friendly and will chat away with you for even hours at a time as we did As said in previous reviews food here is really nice and freshly cooked Breakfast has many options as you’d expect from a decent hotel We stayed in the cottage part of the hotel Again as previously reviews express it is a little tired and in need of some redecoration But this does not worry us as we only slept in it A Great fun quirkiness about this hotel with super staff and owners including Jan working into her latter years but a very lovely woman to chat with too Sorry if we missed anybody Fantastic location too Beautiful scenery and walks on your doorstep which believe it or not we did actually take one

Had the best time staying here to go to the bog snorkelling.my self and husband ,sister and two dogs ,so welcomed and spoilt Food and accomadation great .staff-and owners so helpful .great entertainment occcuring while we were there such fun.my greyhound reall appreciated the comfort. Can’t wait to go again. All the best to everyone .

Called for a family meal whilst on holiday. Very tired place and quite neglected. Probably class as eccentric. Food was average, good selection snd reasonable price. Service was good and the waitress was very chatty and friendly. Which made up for the feel of the neglect of the building. Not sure we would rush back for another meal, but it was acceptable. The place was busy with locals and tourists.

A very tired place that has not had any visible investment for a long time. I have known it for over 50 years. The draught beer was awful - vinegary and not clear. The lady behind the bar was deaf to our complaints - she appeared to be completely indifferent. The food was average and expensive - I had ham egg and chips £15.00 (soggy chips, eggs cooked hard). It will take a lot for me to go there again.

I was travelling from North Mid Wales to do a Wedding Ceremony for a couple at the start of the famous 'Man Vs Horse' race. I rang and asked if my husband and I could book to have breakfast as we needed to be in situ early. We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed chatting to staff and guests. While we were there, we spoke with a film crew who featured the wedding ceremony on BBC Wales. We had a lovely breakfast - thank you to the staff who accommodated our request on a very busy morning for them. - Thank you.

The Neuad Arms is honestly one of the best places I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. Sure my room was more than comfortable, but everything on top of that was beyond wonderful. The food, damn. Farm fresh and homemade with love. The owners, beyond gracious. I was treated like family. They also rent e-bikes, which is the best way to experience the gorgeousness and gorgeosity of the town and surrounding area. Definitely a lifetime experience.

Situated in the centre of the smallest town in Britain. Opposite a premier shop which is open late. It’s a large building with 2 bars and a brewery out the back. They have a decent menu for evening meals and a fabulous breakfast. The owners are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms have very comfortable beds, showers/baths toiletries and a hair drier, TV and free WiFi. There are a few shops round and about and a few more places to stay. We had a drink in the bar every night drinking some of the beer brewed behind the hotel very nice they were too. Only 10 minutes walk from train station and some lovely walking routes around.

The hotel lists itself as "quirky and it sure is! The floors creak and the doors are heavy but what do you expect from a hotel that is over 150 years old! What it does not list itself as is, amazingly friendly, great hospitality, wonderful home cooked food and a "home from home" atmosphere. Their own beer is very good and when it is in the Steak and ale pie (which should serve 2) it is really good. Lindsay, Catherine and all the other staff were so welcoming and friendly it was great. Stayed for 2 nights but unfortunately working Saturday at Brecon Cathedral so did not get chance to spend time in the bar with more of the locals who also made us feel welcome. A weekend away with friends touring mid Wales on motorbikes, we only stayed the one night as planned, also helped with secure parking for the bikes, but what a great surprise we had, as we found that they brew several beers on the premises, and very nice too. Rooms are quirky and spotlessly clean with the normal tea/ coffee making facilities and tv. We ate in the hotel, which was very good, a reasonable menu choice that caters to most tastes, the evening bar staff were excellent and the breakfast staff continued in the same vein, overall a great stay, if I did my trip again I wouldn't hesitate in staying here.

Stayed 4 nights with large walking group. Accommodation is good; uneven floors add to the interest! Food was good with a large range to choose from. Bars much used by locals. A bit noisy because hotel is situated on main road but friendliness of owner & staff far outweighed this. Excellent value for money.

Great honest place - not the Ritz but straightforward clean, comfortable accommodation. Had two rooms and both did what they needed to. Lovely check in and restaurant / bar / food. Parked outside the front door. Grocery shop opposite to get provisions. Served Moretti in the bar. What more do you need.

What a wonderfully quirky place! This place really gets hospitality and welcoming guests. From when we were first met on arrival to departing, we were made to feel so welcome. The food was homemade with local ingredients and the range of ales/cider was just great. This is a really special place and we'll be back!

The atmosphere was great, the staffs were friendly, the food was top notch. Overall we enjoyed our stay. As a family we enjoyed every day of our stay, staffs and other customers made us welcome. We hoping to visit stay in the hotel again. What a great experience we had.
