吉利空氣日出酒店(Sunrise Resort)

Wir sind im September 2023 für 5 Nächte im Sunrise Resorts auf den Gilis gewesen. Die Anreise von Padang Bai mit Blue Water Express auf Gili Air hat, mit einem kurzen Zwischenstopp auf Gili Trawangan, nicht einmal 2 Stunden gedauert. Der Fußweg vom Hafen auf Gili Air bis in das Sunrise Resort dauert ca. 10 Minuten. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Bungalow mit einer sehr schönen überdachten Terrasse im 1. Stock. Der Bungalow ist riesig und bietet mehr, als man in den 5 Tagen braucht. Das Einzige, was es zu bemängeln gab ist der Wasserhahn im Badezimmer, der in gefühlten 5 Minuten ½ Liter Wasser hergab. Man hat auch einen netten Whirlpool und eine riesige Dusche im Badezimmer. Das Essen war auch mehr als gut. Frühstück mehr als ausreichend, Mittagessen mit kleinen Gerichten auch sehr gut und das Abendessen konnte man direkt am Strand bekommen. Wir haben 2 x im Hotel zu Abend gegessen und waren immer sehr zufrieden. Auch die Preise sind mehr als okay. Z.B kostet ein großer Seafood-Spieß, der wirklich gut ist, unter 10 Euro. Das Personal ist sehr, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und bemüht sich bei allen Fragen und Problemen. Egal ob der Safe nicht funktioniert – wurde in 20 Minuten ausgetauscht, oder wenn man krank im Bett liegt – man wird hervorragend betreut. Auch die Lage des Hotels ist absolut gut zum Schnorcheln. Direkt vom Strand weg ist es möglich zu schnorcheln. Man sieht auch relativ viele (bunte) Fische und auch Schildkröten. Wenn wir wieder einmal auf Gili Air kommen sollten, würden wir sicher wieder das Sunrise Resort buchen. Es war ein richtig netter Ausflug von Bali auf Gili Air.

Loved our stay in Gili air, the rooms are large, we had an extra rollaway bed and fit 2 adults, 3 kids The staff are friendly, great location to walk to dinner each night. You can also snorkel right off beach on this side of the island and see turtles, but pack reef shoes, Bikes are cheap to rent and we used them to ride around the island. The pool is great too. You do hear the call to prayer & roosters each morning though so if you’re a light sleeper don’t expect sleep ins.

Hôtel super bien situé ! Juste devant la barrière de corail avec le meilleur spot de snorkeling. (Pas mal de tortue à 40m de la plage) Les transats sont gratuits pour les résidents de l’hôtel. Le personnel est très sympathique. Le restaurant est bon (service long). Le petit déjeuner ne propose pas énormément de choix. La chambre n’était pas vraiment propre… (calcaire, taches…). La piscine est bien, la plage également !

I loved this hotel! Because it is situated right next to one of the best beach of Gili Air, accessible even at low tide, where you can see all sorts of fish and turtles a few meters away from the beach. Unfortunately there is no room with direct sea view but still. Because I loved their signature suites. It is so cute! You have a small balcony, the main bedroom decorated in a cute beach style, the bathroom (ok but nothing special there) and, whaouh, a staircase going to your private « rooftop terrace ». There, you have a hamac, plugs to work (I couldn’t believe it but the wifi worked well during all our stay), ottomans and a fan. Because my bed was equipped with a mosquito net :-). The mattress was ok, not great but still comfortable. There were enough plugs in the room. Because the food was good: breakfast hasn’t got a lot of choice but a woman is making delicious crepes; lunch is very good (we ate there twice) and we had the barbecue on the beach at night and the fish we had was also great and very fresh (I had another one in an another restaurant during my stay and I can tell you that the quality of the fish was lower, compared to sunrise) The swimming-pool was clean, as well as the room. The pool area is nicely decorated. Because you feel you are in a little paradise. Ok, so why not a rate of 5? Well, first the equipments: here, be prepared, there isn’t a TV set in your bedroom (I don’t care as I never watch it during holidays), no phone to contact the reception (take your feet and go there!) and your mini-bar consists in a quite noisy mini fridge where water bottles are stored. Second, because of service: here, you are a little by yourself (you get your towels by the pool and you write your name on a paper left next to it; you’d better go to the bar to fetch a drink when you are on the beach as the waiter doesn’t come often; the restaurant area could be cleaner, I think; the receptionist is a very funny man - he made me think of French comedian Jamel Debbouze- who is willing to help but be ready to wait for any of your demand; the manager is not what you can expect and quite unfriendly). Yet, note that it is a three-star hotel, so, nothing can be perfect. And you can rent bikes from there or arrange a boat trip, as many other places on the island. Plus, there is a small shop where you can buy souvenirs. And this island is so charming!

Idéalement placé tout se fait à pied. Plage en face permet de faire du snorkeling tous les jours. Restaurant disponible et prix corrects. Petit déjeuner simple mais efficace.

If you are looking for a little paradise getaway this is the perfect place to go! The hotel is so nice and clean! When you are back from breakfast in the morning your room will have been cleaned already. The staff is super nice and helpful. They can help you when it comes to where to have dinner, the best snorkeling tours and the nicest beaches. They can organize your travel if you are going to other islands like Lombok and Bali and give you super helpful advice. Mostly the staff all speak English. In our opinion, the beach by the hotel is the nicest on the island. The food is also really good!! We would love to go back to this magical place.

We planned to stay at the Sunrise Resort in Gili Air for seven days but checked out early after three days because the whole experience was very underwhelming. We were looking for one week of relaxation, a beach, good food and friendly people and what we experienced was quite the opposite. The hotel premises are decent, though a bit coming into age but otherwise in a nice location. Unfortunately, we experienced bad service at the hotel, with most of the staff having a can’t-be-bothered” attitude towards the guests. This was especially visible at the restaurant. Although there were not many guests, the service staff still managed to forget our orders on several occasions and repeatedly had to come back to re-check the orders. During one breakfast, we received our coffees 30 minutes after we finished our breakfast. Often we were told several minutes after ordering that the ordered item was actually not available, this repeatedly in just three days. Wanting to rent the Kayak during one of the mornings, we were told they would have to check with the Manager for the price. Three hours later, we checked again but in vain and eventually never heard back from the staff, although he assured us that he would find us and let us know. Last but not least, when we checked out several days before our expected departure, the front desk clerk didn’t see fit to inquire why we are departing early or even inquire if we liked our stay, which in our opinion was the straw that broke the camel’s back in terms of customer service. In terms of hygiene at the hotel, we felt like the room towels, and beach towels smelled funky, and at the restaurant, we encountered dirty cutlery and several cats roaming around our feet all the time when we were eating, begging for food. We were expecting a lovely beach where we could spend the days relaxing, swimming and snorkelling. Unfortunately, the beach was an absolute mess in terms of plastic and garbage floating to the shore. Global sea pollution is obviously nothing the hotel can control but seeing 3-5 staff members at all times standing redundantly around instead of trying to tidy up a crucial part of their facility does not make sense, in our opinion. We only saw once during our stay one of the staff members clean up some of the waste. Considering the relatively high price tag for ok-isch facilities and the poor service, we would not recommend coming to this hotel.

the price doesnt match the services and quality provided . the whole place looks like been hit by a storm, debris are all around the place not to mention the staff are barely speak english ( you have to repeatedly say things in order to get it right )

con il sorriso e la gentilezza i ragazzi dello staff ovviano alle mancanze dei servizi. Il terremoto e la pandemia hanno tristemente interrotto il lavoro e capisco i tentennamenti della proprietà nel ricominciare. Di gente in giro ce n'è ancora pochina e siamo a dicembre 2022. Comunque la Piscina è bellissima ed unica nel design. La colazione per chi è abituato a quelal mediterranea può andare. Segnalo un buon caffè macinato al momento e fatto su macchine italiane di qualità. Stanze carine e arredate con gusto. Spiaggia davanti al resort con servizio. Ristorante dell'hotel in linea con i vicini.
