曼德拉克酒店(The Mandrake)

Very dark hotel. Quirky, artsy, something more akin to shoreditch or Camden but it definitely ye has character. The entrance is a dark hall which leads to a small reception area, nice staff all around generally. A nice break of light through the courtyard into the dining / bar area otherwise, quite dark throughout, Room is cool, although everything is black, sheets, towels, carpet, walls , so makes finding things quite tough. Loved it all even the black but on the last day it rained and three water holes appeared in my room at 5:00am, they moved me to a suite at 7am but j was checking out at 11:00 so wasn’t really anything more than something that I expected considering my room at the time. Cool place, cool people, but very particular style which may not suit all

Je ne parlerai pas de l'hôtel mais de ce lieu magnifique , une décoration éblouissante , peut-être le plus bel endroit où nous avons pris un cocktail un midi ... mon amie connaissait ce lieu enchanteur car elle demeure à deux pas et voulait nous faire découvrir .... j'ai été enthousiasmée par la décoration baroque et les tableaux très bien éclairés ... le patio , avec ce grand palmier/fougère est parfait pour se poser .... je le recommande pour prendre un verre tranquillement dans un merveilleux décor ..

Unique and immersive experience? If that means loud music all night, terrible service, small rooms with tacky decor and a broken bathroom door then I would agree. It was not what I was looking for from a ‘luxury’ hotel stay. Book with caution. Live DJ at the weekend and the bar gets packed. They need to decide if they are a hotel or a nightclub. Our room was directly above the DJ booth, despite telling reception that we had booked for a night away from our baby we had to move rooms as it was so loud. We had a tiny bathroom with a sliding door that was wedged open and wouldn’t close. The bar service was not what you would expect from a luxury london hotel, or a Soho bar, they didn’t even wipe the tables. Not worth the money.

Came to Soul Restore Sound Healing with Maria Lodetoft last Sunday, and it was incredibile. I was so comfortable during the session, the set up included a soft mattess and blankets, and it really elevated the experience. Maria is very kind, and holds a really healing space, the meditation was beautiful and I really enjoyed how she played the bowls, very glently and not to loud. Ive been before many time, and I will be back soon again, Mandrake hosts a great variety of wellness events.

I have been to a reiki and sound healing event at the mandrake last week and I absolutely loved it! It was sooo relaxing. We were in the penthouse room which was just gorgeous and compare to other sound baths i had been before, this one was much more comfortable as we were on padded mats with pillows and blankets. I would definitely come back.

Went for a sound healing experience. It was very very loud from a building next door and that’s alls I could hear. The same tones throughout the sound healing experience. Have to say I regret paying £40 and did not feel relaxed/ enjoyed it. The gong was the same kind of tome and pitch the whole night, I only work with high tone pitches and was utterly dissatisfied with the variety of tones and sounds. Would not recommend or come again.

I had a fantastic sound bath with Maria in the penthouse. It was such an incredible setting, and I felt so well looked after by the practitioners. After the session, I had the best night's sleep and felt a deep sense of relaxation. I highly recommend it.
