I had visited this hotel in 2020 at the beginning of COVID-19 and found its service satisfactory and the room safe and sound. When I returned here this autumn I have found that it was renovated but not in a good way. The entire floor of this hotel has got hangings of framed black and white photographs of only UK women in the 1950s. They looked ghostly and I have had nightmares about these ghosts during my stay. I also accidentally bumped my toe onto the mirror metal at the edge of their bed upon my arrival at the hotel room as photographed below. As a result I had to go to a hospital for X Ray and discovered on the second day of my stay that a piece of bone was chipped off on my toe along with its twisted ligaments and needed to cancel the rest of my group day trips for the remainder of my stay. I have to limp when I walk for months to come according to the doctor at the London hospital. I have had problems sleeping and eating as a result because the pain on my toe is too apparent and real :(. I believe that everyone should avoid this hotel altogether because their rooms are just not safe. The corridor between the bathroom and the bed is far too narrow in the room. I have been a Four Seasons guest for the past 20 years but I would urge everyone to avoid this hotel altogether for their own safety.
