comfy room, nice breakfast, and very friendly owner!!!

我們在這裡住了一晚去參觀德里。主人非常熱情，給了我很多關於吃飯和晚上外出的建議。房間雖小但乾淨舒適。地理位置優越，步行即可到達紀念壁畫和市中心。 早餐很棒。超飽又美味。

預訂後，我意識到入住時間是下午 6 點。 （我住過的許多飯店和民宿中從未見過這種情況）。由於我到的時候要晚一點，所以我問他該怎麼辦，他回答說：「很抱歉，沒人會開門。我從很小就開始工作，我也必須充分享受生活。我認為，這個人應該換個職業，因為為公眾服務的人不能粗魯，而且他的辦理入住時間安排非常荒謬（下午 2 點到下午 6 點），他還缺乏敏感度和善意去嘗試幫助顧客。結果我取消了預訂，並以相同的價格找到了更高級別的酒店。

很棒的民宿。店主給了很好的建議，對客人來說也是很好的主人。有浴室的房間很好。距離德里市中心步行 5 分鐘。街上停車很方便，而且免費。

Thanks to a cancellation, we were given a larger family room which was greatly appreciated! On arrival we were greeted by Jim who provided lots of very helpful information about how to get into town and where to go for food and drink. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable and the only negative was the compact and bijou shower room but given the constraint of this space it was probably the best that could be expected. Breakfast was fantastic and again we were given very helpful information about other parts of Ireland that were on our itinerary. Parking is on a busy street, but it does quieten down at night and we were parked right outside the door. For the money you’ll be hard placed to find a better place with more helpful owners! Very highly recommended.

Welcoming owner Jim is a fountain of knowledge. We were able to check in early, street parking in front a bit busy, but cleared out at night. We didn’t need our car and could walk to the City Walls and Free Derry corner. Jim was personable and provided so much information, about the history and places to go. Rooms were compact but quite clean and comfortable.

If the low point was the room was comfortable and clean then this review is going up like a rocket. The welcome from Jim , the owner, was warm and he spent a lot of time, even though we arrived well before the advertised check in time, explaining what was around for us to visit during our brief stay. His hosting skills were excellent and his breakfast was amazing, If there is a low point it is that we had to move on the following morning.

Had a 1 night stay in this B&B which is perfectly situated a 10 minute walk away from Guildhall in the center of Derry. Parking was easy (on street) and Kieran (our host) welcomed us and provided loads of information about where to eat - what to see etc etc. We were the last to book so unfortunately had a small room but it was adequate. The bathroom was very small and I had to sit sideways on the loo. That aside, we thought the location, hospitality, price and fantastic breakfast compensated for any small niggles and I would highly recommend Bishops Gate B&B for a short stay in Derry.

Wow. Fantastic location for a stay in Derry. Add to that a fantastic host - Ciarán - and you have a great stay. Firstly the location is great with easy street parking you will not need your car in Derry. Easy walking to town and everywhere. at breakfast Ciarán goes above and beyond, with tales of the troubles, his story around Derry and tips on places to visit and eat. But check this, at breakfast I was asking where to but some 15s - a Northern Ireland sweet treat. He told me a few places. After breakfast we went back up to our rooms, followed buy a knock at the door... It was Ciarán who had run across the road to the bakery and picked me up a couple of 15s. Wow that is what makes a great B&B

If you don’t want to sleep or have nice accommodations, book here. Owner was sweet, and it’s close to the gates, but I see why 70 pounds. Bedroom doors are inches apart and people would come in all hours of the night making noise. Also, dogs were barking out the cluttered back area until 1 am. No mention of WiFi and we find out the next morning the password is taped to the mirror near the front door. We didn’t stay for breakfast.

Absolutely loved this wee bnb. The owner was so friendly and welcoming. Delicious cooked breakfast in the morning after a restful stay in room 3. Very clean and tidy all round. We were visiting the Millennium Forum for a concert and it was literally a 10 minute walk so very handy. A straight walk into town and first port of call was Granny Annie’s which was a 6 minute walk. We will definitely be back. Thank you for your hospitality

You're just a few minutes walk from the walled city. The road is fairly busy out front, but we were always able to find parking at various times of day. Accommodations are clean but very spartan. Ciaran is very friendly and so helpful! He also cooks up a really decent breakfast.

Amazing spot, so clean and fresh. Great location, comfortable beds, breakfast and owner. Free street parking. Perfect for a night away with friends. We will be back and highly recommend. Cooked breakfast too, as well as cereal and fruit. Perfect stay in Derry.
