We were ignored when trying to check in - we had to always wear a hospital-type bracelet to let people know we were guests, we had called to confirm that the jacuzzi was working (the main reason we choose this hotel) but it had been out of service for months, the TV didn't work, lights were flickering in the bathroom, a blanket was delivered in a garbage bag and a spoiled gourd had leaked leaving a mess on the dining table we were seated at. Then the gate wouldn't open when leaving the property. We have never complained about any of the many hotels we've stayed at but this was so bad and comical at the same time. Some staff were great, others couldn't care less. The ocean views were wonderful but this experience will stay with us.
