No coffee or anything in the morning. Very smokey on top floor. Rooms clean though

I was needing a room for my son, his wife and their 2 and 1 year old children. I was trying to find something quickly due to a bad situation, I was using my account through ******* and decided on this Hotel. It was 2:00 am Thursday night/Friday morning when I was checking them in. I was too tired to notice when it booked the room, it set it up for checkin after 3:00 pm on Friday. I was so upset, but the young man at the desk was very nice. He had me pay an extra $25 to cover checking in early. I only wanted to pay for 1 night, but ended up paying for 2 nights, along with a $50 refundable security deposit, The original charge through ******* was $65, the with taxes and fees of $9.74 and $9 Stay Protection Plan, I paid $83.74 for the first night. The second night he charged me $85.10, added the $25 for early check in and $50 for security deposit. That put me out $242.48, which is beyond ridiculous. The room appeared to look nice, until I saw roaches crawling on the desk. Then I noted my grandson’s feet were black on the bottom from running around barefooted in the room. I walked around barefooted for a short while and the bottom of my feet also became black. We also found a large stain on one of the sheets when we were clearing the beds before leaving and something had dripped down one of the walls in the bathroom. My son and his family were able to go back to their home and did not need to stay the additional night. I asked the older man at the front desk if he would cancel the reservation for Friday. He told me no, he could not, because it was paid for in advance. I was going to report them, but found out it is a locally owned hotel and I believe the man I had spoken to is probably the owner. He was not at all concerned about the roaches or how filthy the carpet was. I could have stayed the extra night myself, but did not want to stay in a nasty room. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
