洛恩查特比小巷酒店(Lorne Surf Apartments)

A beautiful, bright and welcoming apartment after a long day travelling. It was spacious and clean with a small kitchen perfectly suited to a small evening meal (microwave available) and breakfast. I was in a ground floor room so could sit out in the terrace and watch the cockatiels. I’d definitely recommend to stay here. It felt like a boutique experience.

Great place, perfect location - apartment was phantastic. We wished we could have stayed longer and we would always return to this place when we are traveling again. The location is superb as you are close to the beach and town but it’s really quiet The owners are very friendly and helpful !

As we drove up the hill from the waterfront we were not expecting such a nice place but thats what greeted us to our surprise. We had a balcony room with twin spa, sat on the balcony and the view of the Ocean was just amazing, the apartment was very clean, spacious and ideal for our short stay. Definitely will recommend and we would stay there again whenever we are down the Gt Ocean Rd.

This really is a lovely place to stay It has new owners now who are doing a lot to this property to make it even a better stay for everyone The rooms are really very big with a nice big balcony or downstairs there is an outside area for you to enjoy I will certainly be back to stay Thank you Chris for a really pleasant stay Jo and Carey 3/3/2022

We stayed at Chatby Lane for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Our room was spacious, cosy and comfortable. The balcony offered sea views and we enjoyed the daily visits from the birds. Walks into town were invigorating and an opportunity to explore the coastal or hinterland tracks. Would happily return to Chatby Lane.

Was extremely disappointed with this property. I upgraded to a Deluxe Queen Studio with spa bath but couldnt use the spa as there was never enough hot water to fill it. This happened for the both nights of my stay. So was a waste of money for the upgrade. Dont bother if they cant supply enough hot water to fill the spa. Also the outdoor sitting area was overgrown with plants and shrubs, so couldnt sit outside the room. The room itself was fine with good size bathroom and bed was fine. But again, dont bother with a spa upgrade that you wont be able to use. They rang me at 1pm to confirm my arrival time of 3pm and when we got there the room did not have the heating on or lights on and was extremely cold for hours. they could have heater on earlier knowing our arrival time. Poor customer service .

Stayed here for 4 nights after buying a travel voucher during lockdown. I would have happily stayed much longer. Lovely spotlessly-clean room with a comfy bed and a large veranda with a view of the ocean through a huge gum tree. Best was that a flock of white cockatoos live in the tree and are very happy to visit if you offer them a snack (check that it’s ok for them). At one stage I had 18 friends! Karen the host is also great. Lots of tips about where to go for walks and came to tell me when there was a koala in a nearby tree. Easy drive to town or an ok walk if you like hills. Highly recommend. Also has great wifi. I needed to do a zoom class and had no issues. Travelling by myself, I was made to feel welcome.

Reception: Extremely nice manager, Karen, who phoned us to let us know our room was ready and called again later, to provide us with some room options. She walked us to the room and explained the functions of items, and was very helpful. Room / facilities: Room 2 is a large very clean room, comfortable king bed, huge bathroom with walk in shower and water views in the distance. The facilities include a Flat screen smart tv, split system air conditioner, kitchenette with microwave, full size fridge, crockery and cutlery, circular dining table, iron and board, free onsite car parking. Wifi: Complementary and very fast. Being only a small accommodation, there is not the “masses” to use up the wifi bandwidth (speed). Breakfast: Not available Conclusion: Great comfortable accommodation suitable for a short or longer stay. Letdowns Close proximity (distance wise) to town and local supermarket, whilst the average person may not walk to the town, it is easy enough to walk during the day. Location / Nearby: Close by is the IGA supermarket, suspension bridge and all the Lorne town has to offer.
