The room was great, very comfortable, nice to have the little frig, kitchenette, couch, and separate sleeping area. Bathroom area and shower were very good and extra area before bathroom worked well. The shower had ample hot water and the fog-free mirror was excellent. There is a good plug-in hair dryer also. The bed was very comfortable.
The main lobby area and area for eating breakfast was nice and open and comfortable with plenty of room even at breakfast time and a place to rest and hangout. The only less than great part of my stay was that the breakfast was one of the worst I've experienced and I'm disappointed in the Hyatt; I would've expected better. Most of the food seemed like it was purchased at Trader Joe's or 99cent store. Bagels were passable but just barely. Pancakes and potatoes were right out of a Trader Joe's box. In comparison to breakfast's I recently had in Europe, this breakfast registers a 1 out of 5. Several other major US chains have far better breakfasts. However, at the end of the day, it's food and I was there because my wife was at USC-Keck so breakfast was the least of my worries. Everything else about the Hyatt met or exceeded my expectations and its proximity to USC-Keck hospital and facilities was a big plus. I also want to acknowledge Jaime at the front desk and Alba one of the people keeping the main lobby clean and tidy. Both were excellent.
