Highly recommend safe place nice staff Easy to reach tourist attractions

Be aware that the "No Elevator" rooms require you to carry your stuff through an extensive maze of outdoor stairs up four stories (though it feels like eight from the maze). The hotel feels like an old motel that has had some renovations and the room also had an overpowering mildewy smell and old carpet that triggered my daughter's allergies. We asked if any other rooms were available, but, as has been stated in other reviews, the front desk staff was not interested in helping. The hotel is located on a very busy 6 lane street of large apartment/condo buildings (and ironicaly is not technically in Beverly Hills), so is not walkable to anything. However, if you have a car, it's a quick 10 minute drive to Beverly Hills and the valet is friendly. We did not end up trying the restaurant. It is priced at room service levels ($10 for a bagel, etc.), and is closed random hours, so we just always ended up eating elsewhere. The gym also had no free weights or many machines, so did not end up using it. Hard to figure this hotel out. We got a super low rate, so it worked for us.

There was a intermittent loud noise coming from the pond right outside of our room that kept us awake for most of the night. I mentioned it to the front desk staff the morning after and asked if they’d be willing to offer some sort of discount or at least wave the $45 valet parking fee. She let me know that she wasn’t able to do that but that she’d leave a message for a manager to reach out. I still have not heard from anyone from management. Pretty dissatisfied with how my issue was handled.

The staff are wonderful, friendly and helpful. The room service food was excellent. The gym was closed for water damage repairs so I was disappointed. The AC units in the room are quite noisy inside the walls with a repetitive clicking noise so I had to turn it off and have no AC. It was very humid. The bed was small and the linen reflected body heat. I believe a plastic bed wetting sheet was underneath incorporated into the mattress. The room had a desk and stand up kitchenette bar. The room was clean. The shower was high pressure which is a rarity in California. I was so tired I slept well enough apart from urban noises of loud exhaust from street racers, cop chases, a yelling transient, and a fire alarm in the adjacent apartment complex. I am glad i had a set of earplugs. Parking was an extra $45 a night, 90 total which was a bit steep considering in and out valet for my stay cost me an extra combined 5x8=40 bucks. The hotel itself was lovely in appearance and clean. I do hope they clean up the neighborhood of transients/************ and street racing. If they do I will be back.

I’ve never had such rude customer service at an upscale hotel. I’m used to having pleasant and welcoming interactions. I specifically left another hotel to come to this hotel because I felt it would be a better experience but it was not. I ordered room service and waited over an hour and it turned out they forgot my order. Housekeeping knocked on my door at exactly 12:00 and asked me if I was leaving. And I rushed out and forgot things in the room. Then when I went upstairs to get them I got a call asking if I was leaving. I was in a luxury king suite. I was appalled. I expected much more from this hotel.

This place made you feel like you’re rich and famous. They’re staff were experts in hospitality. Everyone was very accommodating. The bathroom was amazing. It had a huge shower and tub. You could fill the tub up and take a bath as a 6 foot 3 inch man.
