Worse Residence Inn I have ever stayed at! Dirty! I booked the last available 2 bedroom for my family. The downstairs bathroom vent was filthy and clogged with dirt/dust. Hence, no air circulation leading to bacteria smelling bathroom curtain. Bathroom sink clogged. Who unit was dusty, I spent 2 hours cleaning and disinfecting for my family because their housekeeping already left for the day. Unacceptable conditions! Worse yet, there were large ants. We called to front desk and due to their internal miscommunication, took 3 days for their technician to come out. Technician Kevin had a can of Raid to spray. He said the large potent ants, only way to get rid of the problem is to shut down the entire unit and fumigate. Raid won’t take care of the problem. Plus, we had kids and didn’t them to spray Raid too. Worse yet is my daughter got bitten by the ants! Angie Cover, the Front Desk Manager didn’t even have the courtesy to call to address our concerns. She left early and had her staff deal with us. She told Amani to offer us 1 complimentary night or 10,000 Bonvoy points. What an insult! Hotel management needs to get training! Later on, Amani relayed the offer was increased to 20,000 Bonvoy points to shut us up. Ridiculous! Last minute we checked out. Homewood Suites across the street is much better. Cleaner and much better customer service. Don’t get fooled by the 4.5/5 rating. The Residence Inn is old, their website says recently renovated, but that is misleading. I couldn’t find anything in the room that was renovated or new.

I have stayed at Marriott properties many times in the past but this one was the absolute worst and I'm not even sure how to begin. For reference, I was traveling with my 60+ year old mother and we had a 2 bedroom suite in the 14 building for 4 nights. I'll begin with the good: - Front desk was kind upon check-in and when I misplaced my parking place - Parking was plentiful and we were able to park near our room every time - The obvious places in the room (tub, bedding, countertops) were clean On to the awful: - When we got to our room, the thermostat was set at 88 degrees. The room was stifling and it took hours for it to come down. In what situation is 88 necessary? - The floors in the loft bedroom were so squeaky at nearly every step that it was disruptive to even move about up there - day or night - to everyone else in the suite. - The cleanliness outside of the obvious places housekeeping hits were so disgusting that I am having troubles getting over it even 24 hours after checking out. The issues were: 1) what I can only describe as hundreds of salt-like fragments in the headboard of the bed which had checked hatchings as the design, 2) blood spatter down the walls and on the ceiling above the bedside table, 3) a scratch ticket sitting on top of the full length mirror upstairs, and 4) lipstick stains on 2 coffee mugs in the cabinet and a third coffee mug with a handle that almost broke off the second I tried washing it. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend staying here again. It's super disappointing as I've always believed in Marriott properties but this one is in serious need of a deep clean.

TL:DR - if you don't care about AC, being able to get into your hotel room or considerate staff, this is a great hotel for you. If any of those things matter, I'd advise you consider another property. Before you begin reading this review, let me first say that it was incredibly sad for me to have to write. I've been a longtime Marriott enthusiast for years and have stayed at number of their properties across all of the tiers. It was actually that experience that compelled me to write this review. I expect better of Marriott because I've seen them do better. This experience, discussed below, does not meet their standard. While this experience is an outlier for this brand, it's worth calling out so that others can make informed decisions. In my almost 2+ years of stays at Marriott property, this was the first time I felt compelled to write a review. Horrific hotel, no emphasis from the staff on either customer service or even basic care. Our room had no toilet paper, functioning AC and the lock was broken, just to name a few issues and it was only the first night. I was also extremely disappointed in the staff and their inability and frankly what seemed to me to be "disintrest" in addressing the issues. - The never offered to send over additional toilet paper (strange, I know?) - When I told them the AC didn't work after arriving back to our hotel after 10 PM at night, they advised me to wait "awhile" in case it had "frozen over". After waiting half an hour, we spoke again and they told me it would take a minimum of another 30 minutes for their maintenance manager to come out and take a look. When I inquired about another room, the hotel AGM (Angie) asked if I would be better if I could be somewhere else since the property "didn't mean my expectations". You set these expectations when advertising your property. You set the expectations by making it clear you offered AC, rooms we could actually enter and bathrooms in your hotel rooms. If expecting to be provided with AC, a room I can physically enter and toilet paper is "too high of a bar" to reach...maybe you should consider raising your bar. The sad thing is is that all it would have taken was a little bit of understanding and empathy from the staff and a promise to address the issue in a convenient manner in order to avoid this review. Apparently, this was too much to ask for.

I staid 5 nights for business I was fortunate to be in a room away from the Costco loading bay, yet I suffered from the noise of the upstairs room and I didn't get the expected rest. Bed was very comfortable but fridge and AC are old and very noisy In general, this Residence Inn falls out of my experience with Marriott and is in dire need for renovation The Reqidence Inn in Renton is newer and much quieter. The young man at reception was not friendly, but week staff was super polite, so that didn't impact my rating

I recently stayed at The Residence Inn, and overall, it was a comfortable experience. The rooms were well-equipped with all the necessary facilities in both the kitchen and bedroom, which made our stay convenient. However, there were a few drawbacks. During the nights, the noise from trucks coming to Costco became an issue, disrupting our sleep. Additionally, the hotel lacked some basic amenities like toothpaste, which was a bit inconvenient. The main issue that left a negative impression was the handling of the security deposit. Upon check-in, we provided our mode of payment, which was a Forex card. Unlike credit cards, the hotel debited a daily amount rather than placing the amount on hold. This led to a situation where the hotel charged us for the entire stay but still demanded an extra $1200 as security. When we questioned the high amount, the response was that this was the standard practice in the US. We compared this to a colleague staying at Hilton, where only $25 was charged as security. Despite our protest, we were urged to pay the extra amount, which felt like a double charge and was quite frustrating. On a positive note, the hotel's location is convenient, with Costco and Alderwood Mall nearby. It's a good option if you're looking for a well-equipped place to stay, but be prepared for potential issues with the security deposit policy.

Breakfast is very minimal, not enough to start a good day if you ask me. The worst part though had to be the fact that there were ants in our room. They were coming out of under the carpet in the stairs.

Great service top to bottom. Front desk was all smiles and friendly banter about the Blue Jays and Taylor Swift Weekend. The room was top notch. The house keeping staff was so cheerful and helpful (especially the Persian House Keeper who chatted with us in the courtyard and thanked us for coming and hoped we would be back again soon). The breakfast crew was great. My wife asked for some hot water and they brought it out right away. Would definitely return again.

Residence Inn in suburban Seattle. Very close to giant mall and lots of restaurants and amenities. Hotel was sort of townhouse style, with some rooms that required walking up and all had sliding door balconies. We had a large suite with a queen bedroom with a king bed in the loft. Beds were great. 2 bathrooms was nice. Lots of space, good kitchen amenities. The furniture could use updating and a bit of stale smell throughout. The breakfast was included, but subpar compared to other Residence Inns that we've stayed at recently. Overall, decent choice, but could be better!

Ok residence inn stay in Linwood. The hotel is composed of a large number of buildings like an apartment complex so easy for parking and access Large spaces (especially compared to many newer Residence Inns) but looking a little in need of maintenance. Breakfast included and ok. Served it’s purpose as quick stopover.

The place was obviously aging and the room didn't seem as if it had been deep cleaned in some time. The walls needed to be wiped, the bathroom door had something on it, just where you put your hand to close it. I'm hoping it was soap. I cleaned it off. The carpet was damp in front of the bathroom sink. The sheets were kind of rough, but the towels were nice. Having a kitchen and a larger room to hang out in is a nice bonus though.

This hotel is in a good location. It's a nice piece of property and near a regional shopping mall, Costco, and many restaurants. It is also in lamentable shape. Wood siding and decks are deteriorating, paint is bulging from water leaks, railings are loose, etc. Management is seemingly disinterested in guest experiences. Our TV has not worked properly for the 8 days (so far) of our 12 day stay. We have contacted the front desk multiple times via the telephone and personal visits. They all promise action, and nothing happens. The TV pixelates; stops randomly, starts randomly etc. Tech problems happen - for sure - but the management has done absolutely nothing to help resolve the situation. I would never, ever, ever stay at this property again and would not recommend it. And, BTW, I have stayed 1,177 nights at Starwood/Marriott properties and am lifetime Titanium Elite.
