We always choose this motel when we stay in Mackay. It is situated in the centre of town and all restaurants are within walking distance. The rooms are clean and ideal for an overnight stay. Hunter is the most accommodating manager and nothing is too much trouble for him. We are a couple in our 70's and always book a ground floor room. Caneland Shopping Centre is a short walk away for those that go to Mackay for shopping.

Stayed for 2 days travelling from Cairns, very nice motel, fair prices. Everytime we get back to our room, things already tidy up, toilet is clean, new towels, cold aircon. Close to shops. Hunter is very friendly and will help you with anything.

Friendly and kind check in, clean room with everything one needs for an overnight on the road. Bed really comfortable with plenty of pillows. Aircon worked beautifully to cool room down. Easy off street parking, two great restaurants either side of hotel And ice cream shop just up the road

It's a reasonably priced motel. It's clean, friendly and close to restaurants, cafes and shopping centre. There are 2 restaurants one either side of the motel one Chinese and the other Greek. Everything is within walking distance. I highly recommend this motel.

Our stay was quite comfortable. The room though compact it was clean. The Bathroom is small but you make it work. So convenient to the MEC, just what we needed. The owner is very helpful and friendly. Close to some very nice restaurants is and added bonus.

Clean, comfortable and very close to the couple of things we needed to do while there. Perfectly fine. Easy to find, friendly welcome. Car parking getting a little tight with trend towards longs vehicles but no problem. Walking distance to some excellent eateries and cafes.

The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Not huge rooms but had everything needed for a stopover. Location is virtually central Mackay and cannot be faulted. Can recommend the Greek restaurant next door. Hunter the manager was a star. He couldn't do enough for you and nothing was a trouble. Would stay again if passing through.

Hunter the owner could not do enough for us, extremely helpful especially as we checked in really late and left early morning. It was a convenient location to the Greyhound Bus Stop. The room was simple, but had everything we needed, was a good price and clean.

The owner went out of his way to assist us when our campervan broke down. He recommended great restaurants which are all a short walking distance. Caneland the Mall is also a short walk, its a great central location. Please support this great bu.siness

I have stayed at the International Lodge dozens of times over the last 12 years and the rooms and service are always impeccable. I never stay anywhere else in Mackay unless the International lodge is booked out. The rooms are clean, tidy and have everything you require. The beds are very comfortable and the showers are amazing. Hunter, the Manager is so welcoming amd accommodating and remembers you by name (even after I just started staying there) and also remembers why you are there eg for medical reasons and checks in how you are going with them. It is definitely a home away from home and Hunter makes you feel like family. I could not recommend staying here enough.

The room was exceptionally clean, bed and pillows were comfortable. Split system air-conditioning heated the room well on a chilly evening. Location was very handy to dining and cafes, easy walking distance. Lovely to support a small business operator in Mackay.

Every time we stay here Hunter the manager goes above and beyond to ensure you are happy and the rooms are nice and clean and quiet… perfect every time, also rhetorical accommodation is right in the heart of the city close to walking distance each morning to various cafes and restaurants at night and in the room is a detailed folder with all the information you will need, the shower is lovely and hot and the aircon is cool

For a 3-star hotel, the single-room made available to myself and the party were in great condition and provided all the amenities we needed. Microwave, TV with Netflix, Kettle, Bar fridge and a great shower... all the basics. Perfect for an evening or two, and the host is more-than happy to help with any questions. Easy check-in and check-out. Will definitely make the effort to book here next Mackay visit!
