Check in was slow and it was difficult to understanding the staff and the information she was giving us. We had no ideas that there was a shuttle to the ferry as we ended up paying for parking. She could have told us during check in, but as I said we could not understand her and was getting very frustrated. We did witness another staff member get short and nasty to another customer when questions were being asked. We did ask for cleaning service each day, but that did not happen. The beds were uncomfortable. The entry into the room was very narrow and at times difficult to maneuver. This hotel is dated. The first night stepping into the shower I grabbed the hand bar and it came out of the wall and hit my face. It could have ended a lot worst. We talked to the front desk about what happened. At no time did anyone ask if I was ok. They just handed me some papers to fill out and I was told I had to call corporate as they could not discount our stay, they could only change our room. The second room, the beds were still very uncomfortable. We had to find a cleaning employee to get more toilet paper. There was a hair glob in the tub drain. We went down twice for their breakfast. Not good. They were out of what looked like canned fruit in a bowl, no bread, no batter for waffles, no decaf coffee and only a small amount of sugar type cereal. They did have a nice supply of ham, bagels and a handful of pancakes. It was not a very good experience with this hotel.
