Centrally located hotel but it doesn't have a lot of the amenities that one would associate with the price they are charging... There isn't enough parking space for your car, they don't have a restaurant, only breakfast buffet is served plus they won't even let you use that space to eat something you would have ordered from elsewhere. The rooms thought nicely built need a lot of maintenance, furniture and certain corners are damaged. The bathrooms definitely need better maintenance, there are cockroaches everywhere. There is no fridge in the room to store food either. This is place is like an expensive b&b.. Not worth it.

There was a problem with the room when I arrived but when I complained the front desk staff moved me immediately. However the next room had a big problem with a very strong drain smell coming from the bathroom. Come on guys, sort this out. The staff try so hard to make the stay memorable but then there is a problem like this which is easy to fix. I have given four stars, not three, as the staff are so kind and helpful.

Such a good property, service was very convincing and more over the swimming pool and rooms were clean. Breakfast was okayish but nothing to be complained

這個酒店我真是無語吐槽了，不是因為MARRIOTT滿房，這個又是最靠近的酒店， 我真是不會再住下去，酒店老舊就算了， 衛生也不好， 那個毛巾啊，臭的要死。 明明有雙牀房不給我， 非要打給攜程才給我， 本來就有時差， 凌晨2-3點都搞不好給我， 我本來預定是Club room 我都不知道我最後到底住了個什麼房型， 總之鐵定不是club room就對了

The hotel is about 5 km from the Madurai railway station if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it takes 15 minutes to reach the hotel. Only Uber auto and bike is available from the Railway station. But not reliable at all, after your booking is confirmed by Uber driver will call you and ask for more, (double) and only if you agree, they'll come. This is a patten in Madurai. I experienced this for all my Uber rides. Everything at the hotel was was excellent, the morning complimentary breakfast is outstanding with some local delicacies. Only issue (currently) some flyover construction currently going on outside the hotel, If you want to explore some shopping, there is a Sarvana store within 2 km of the hotel in case you want to check out for any sarees etc. Overall Good

We had a wonderful 2 nights 3 days stay at Gateway Madurai. True to its name, it was a gateway to its hospitality, in the woods, surrounded by nature and not to forget, their peacocks. Front office team - Mr. Pandiyan and Mr. Govind Raj were very helpful.in arranging for our stay in the hotel. They guided us for every small details of Madurai and made our darshan in Meenakshi temple very very memorable. Best part of the team in the hotel was they were available to answer even when you are lost in the city of Madurai and not just inside the hotel. Mr. Ashok gave us lot of history and details about Madurai which opened up many new places for us to visit and see around. He also catered to our requirements in no time ensuring we are happy guests and leave the hotel with an experience not just a mere stay. Cherry on the cake was the restaurant team. Chef made the local delicacies for us keeping in mind our special eating habits and the taste was wonderful. Team in the restaurant was so warm and eager to serve us that all days we ended up overeating with joy and relishing every item. Overall, a wonderful, warm and cheerful experience staying with Taj.

酒店前台服務態度很好，但業務非常之不好。 到酒店不讓early check in可以理解，前台問好價格，去餐廳買早餐，餐廳價格和前台給的價格不一樣。check out時想用酒店的車去機場，問了前台一個價格，覺得比Ola稍微貴一點，還行，說吃好飯回來訂，結果回來之後換了個前台，價格又變了，比Ola貴一倍了。 Early Check In，酒店開始嚴格要求不能提早入住，必須下午2點，溝通無奈后表示理解，隨即出去用午餐，回來后才中午12點，發現酒店竟然給另一對白人夫婦check in，而且還提供了毛巾和welcome drink。我check in時候完全沒有這些。 以上說明酒店管理非常混亂。 保安倒是各個熱情打招呼。早餐價格不貴，但餐品一般。 房間硬件很好，空調也很給力，不過冰箱非常老舊，在莊園一般的heritage裏，非常的吵。 衛生情況衹是看上去很美，木地板腳踩的話，會很快就黑了。房間內還有超級大的幾隻蒼蠅飛舞，嗡嗡嗡，有點噁心。 整體看性價比還不錯，就是前台讓人非常惱火，衛生情況也配不上硬件。
