Désolé de contredire ce concert de louanges, mais notre expérience ne fût vraiment satisfaisante... Et pourtant tout avait très bien commencé : une jolie façade à toute proximité du centre ville, un accueil excellent : sourire, courtoisie, explications... Parfait. Nous visitons les parties communes et sommes charmés par la décoration et l'atmosphère chaleureuse du lieu (un salon cosy, une cuisine et salle à manger à disposition... Rien à redire ! Et patatras, nous rentrons dans notre chambre, et là... Bonjour tristesse - décoration assez banale comparativement aux parties communes - avec vue sur le "patio"... qui se résume à une minuscule terrasse entourée d'un haut mur blanc, meublée de 2 fauteuil et une table, le reste totalement nu, sans même une plante sur cette terrasse... Bref, une chambre "vue mur" à 2 ou 3 m. Un grande salle de bain certes, mais froide et dont la surface aurait largement permis de l'équiper de 2 vasques... Nous nous contenterons d'une seule... Dernière chose, une désagréable odeur d'humidité (la VMC est très rare à Minorque). Je m'enquière donc de passer à la réception pour acheter une bougie parfumée (nous en reparlerons) non sans faire part de notre déception pour notre chambre... Elle me répond que nous avons réservé en last minute (effectivement 2 jours avant) et que notre chambre était la dernière disponible (et pour cause). je lui fait juste remarquer que quand on a un vilain canard, il serait juste de ne pas la facturer au même prix que les autres... Pas de télé (pas très grave en ce qui nous concerne), mais pas non plus de téléphone pour joindre la réception (uniquement la journée) et surtout pas de réseau téléphonique !!! Non seulement impossible d'appeler, mais surtout d'être joint en cas de problème... ce qui nous est arrivé : déclenchement d'alarme à notre domicile et le centre de télésurveillance n'a su nous joindre, nous avons eut le message en sortant... Super ! J'en avise notre charmante hôtesse qui me répond avec son habituel sourire que nous sommes dans une maison de XVIII ième siècle... Certes, mais nous sommes aussi au XXI ième avec quelques moyen techniques qui permettent de palier l'épaisseur des murs... Son sourire s'atténue... Nous passons passons donc nos 2 nuits, non sans avoir une nouvelle fois fait part de notre mécontentement sur le rapport qualité/prix : pour 300€ la nuit en octobre à Minorque, avec des prestations réduites (pas de télévision, ni de standard, ni même de réseau téléphonique, réception uniquement la journée... justifiées selon notre hôtesse par l'argument "nous sommes un boutique hôtel"), il me semble que l'on pourrait s'attendre à mieux... Sinon ne pas pratiquer les mêmes prix qu'un véritable hôtel doté de ces prestations. Au Check-out je constate que la fameuse bougie à 25 € figure sur la note. Je fais donc remarquer qu'alors qu'un client eût fait gentillement remonter son insatisfaction sur plusieurs sujets durant son séjour, il eut été élégant (ou simplement commer

Hotel precioso ubicado en el centro de Mahón. Dispone de 14 habitaciones, es un hotel estilo menorquín encantador. Camas y almohadas muy cómodas y ducha fantástica. Desayuno completo. Personal encantador!!! Agradecemos a todos su amable atención, sobretodo a Sonia, la Directora. Un digno ejemplo de profesional que con cariño cuida de su equipo y clientes.

Impresionante casa adosada restaurada del siglo XVIII en el corazón del casco antiguo. Personal increíble, desayunos deliciosos en una terraza cubierta llena de plantas, habitaciones amuebladas de forma sencilla con elementos de época y muebles elegantes y antiguos. Recomiendo encarecidamente este hotel a cualquiera que busque una estancia hogareña en esta maravillosa ciudad.

Can Alberti es un fantástico hotel boutique en el centro de Mahon. La habitación era espaciosa y con ambiente balear, funcional y sencilla. Tiene rincones geniales para relajarse como el salón o las terrazas, la del desayuno y la de la azotea. El desayuno maravilloso, preparado al momento con las peticiones específicas que tengas. Otro punto fuerte es la localización, en el centro de Mahón, con tiendas y restaurantes muy cerca. Las recomendaciones del equipo tb estupendas. Volveremos

Sonja couldn't be more welcoming and helpful, and she clearly knows how to select good staff too! The building is centrally situated, an easy stroll to everywhere in Mahon and very, very beautiful. Large airy rooms, scrupulously clean and finely appointed, and the salon, terraces and other rooms are wonderful. Although no TV in the rooms, there is a separate TV room if you can't cope without. Breakfast had plenty of cold meats, cheese, fruits, etc and eggs cooked to order. There are some stairs to negotiate if mobility is a problem and I don't know how happy young children would be in such tasteful surroundings. I will definitely return and recommend!

Excellent hotel! Extremely friendly and personable service. Alberti has very large and spacious, bright rooms and is beautifully and extremely tastefully furnished. Very good breakfast. Since our plane didn't leave until the evening, we were allowed to use our room all day. A parking space for our car was also organized. We'll definitely be back! Thank you for everything! It doesn't get any better.

If you are looking for an authentic stay in Mahon then Can Alberti provides a retreat into a former time but with all the modern day facilities of a boutique hotel. An original Menorcan Town House situated in the heart of the city, yet a quiet street with no noisy neighbours. One of the key credentials for this hotel is its attempt to minimise its carbon footprint and use of recycled materials throughout the hotel. This is impressive and to be commended! Breakfast offers guests a chance to sample some of the local produce from its buffet table and tea/coffee/snacks are available to guests throughout the day on a help yourself basis. An honesty bar is also available with wine and beers on offer, as well as room refreshments. Owners and staff make guests feel welcomed and whilst not quite a round the clock reception service, are there to help with anything you need to enhance your stay in the city. A highly recommended establishment with high quality standards - not open all year, but a long spring/summer/autumn season provides guests with plenty of time choices to enjoy this hotel and its city environments.

We've just returned from a wonderful week long stay at Can Alberti. The level of service, cleanliness, attention to detail and location were excellent. The hotel is very calm and peaceful, we certainly had many a good nights sleep! All of the staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Pre arrival reception was very helpful and a simple taxi ride from the Airport brought us to this beautiful little Hotel. When they said treat this as your home it really felt like it and complimentary coffee, tea and water (plus biscuits 😋) was a great touch. Four excellent nights with four fantastic restaurant recommendations from reception, a trip to the art exhibition and boat trip gave our city start to the holiday a magical opening. Thanks to all the staff, it was truly wonderful.

Just spent a week at this beautiful boutique hotel. From the check in to check out was perfect, the staff were fantastic. Sonia and her team were so friendly and helpful. The building itself is so full of character, its not like a hotel. The breakfasts were lovely, buffet style and very tasty. The location could not have been better, a quiet street, just around the corner from the city centre. I say city, its just a quant town, so friendly and full of charm. Getting from the airport to the hotel was very easy and cheap. Depart the airport, get on the L10 bus, which goes to the bus station, 2.80 euros per person. Then just a 8-9 minute walk through the quaint streets of Mahon (Mao). Sonia, please thank ALL your staff for making our holiday special.

A Unique Hotel We have been lucky enough to stay in some very good (and not so good) hotels since we first met in Menorca in 1983. Often we have said, “We must come back here” – but we never have. I think the Can Alberti has changed that. The first thing to say is that it has all the attributes you expect in a top-class hotel – good food, lovely rooms and excellent service. So why did we come away feeling it was so special? We were fortunate enough to have Room 4, which meant enjoying a spacious bedroom, separate large sitting room, ensuite with a bath and separate shower and our own little terrace, but all the rooms looked lovely. The breakfasts were superb, with lots of fresh fruit, excellent omelettes and gorgeous Menorcan honey. So why unique? Firstly. It was the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in, which was just what we were looking for. Secondly, the atmosphere was very “un-hotel” - in a great way. We loved the art on the walls, the gorgeous furniture and the whole appearance of the interior, which felt so Menorcan but also contemporary and welcoming. We loved this area of Mahon – so quiet, so relaxing, but so close to all the nice bustle of the port and the town centre. But for us, it is always the people who look after you that make the difference between a good hotel and somewhere very special. Sonia and her team give you the impression that they will do everything to make you feel that the hotel is yours for the duration of your stay and that it is a pleasure to have you in what feels like their rather grand but very welcoming home. So thank you to her, to Mar, Maria Gracia, Marta, Yann, Betty and Leah. I think you have broken our lifetime habit of always moving on to somewhere new, but in the best possible way.

Great hotel. Central, but quiet. Comfortable room and very good breakfast. Excellent management and staff. Many good restaurants within a few minutes walk and close to the main attractions. What more can you ask for? Vik

Can Alberti is a wonderful place to stay, Sonia and the team manage to make you feel "at home" from day 1, so kind and attentive, always available and making sure you have everything you need during your stay with them. It is located in old family residence (amazing house structure), renovated and decorated with great taste and attention to detail. Beautiful "shared areas" (e.g. breakfast area and rooftop terrace), amazing rooms and suites. But the best part is really the people - as always it makes such a difference. So thanks again for the great time there and hope to see you again some day!

Beautiful unique property in old Mahon townhouse. Beautifully furnished with lots of attention to detail. While not 'full service' there are amenities such as free coffee, water, plus an 'honesty bar' for drinks in the evening if wanted.
