Service was great. Breakfast was good. Room was nice and clean

利茲城堡的好位置。工作人員友好而高效。早餐有很多選擇。不幸的是，這家酒店很陳舊，房間裏沒有空調，又熱又悶。房間裏的桌子也太小，無法舒適地完成工作。考慮到價格，不是很有價值。

Got to our room and it was like a sauna in room no windows open, went down to dinner ordered dinner then see a waiter laying tables but then see him picking up cutlery but not by the handles and was playing with cutlery moving it from hand to handby the bit you put intended your mouth, needless to say we cancelled dinner and went elsewhere . We did complain and on our return from dinner elsewhere we found that somebody from the hotel had been into our room and left a bottle of wine and a note saying sorry about your experience in the restaurant. Why somebody had to go into our room i do not know. Went down to breakfast the following morning and found that the food was lukewarm and tables dirty, will not be staying here again.

Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Views of the lake from our window. The service in the restaurant and reception was excellent. We were there for a family Golden Wedding celebration and the meal was spot on. Plates hot so food was perfect and the meal itself absolutely delicious. Great choice of our family.

Theme night was cancelled so had to make other arrangements and promised an upgrade for the inconvenience, which did not appear to have been honoured. There was a mix up with the names when booking in, so being the organiser there wasnt a room in my name!! The room was clean and very warm but tired. Tiling in the bathroom was cracked in places an and there was marks on the walls in the room. Staff were pleasant and helpful but I wouldn’t say I was thinking about staying here again anytime soon which is a shame because the local pub (Park Gate Inn) provided an excellent meal which 100% made up for the disappointment of the cancellation of the themed evening we had originally planned to enjoy l.

I know i paid for a single room , But i did half expect to have some where to put my clothes. Room was a bit cramped. Facilities I only used once. Pool was being used for children's swimming classes, sauna was ok. More interested in getting business for the banqueting suite than for the hotel. Had dinner on the first night cat fault the food.

For me, service is tremendously good. People are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is wonderful, it was worth to spend. Location is nice. Not new or clean as photos, but absolutely the employee of the hotels are as you are in good hotel. However, all were spoiled with toilet or tap water flow. Toilet flushing is as you are in mid of 20th century to flush 10 times or more. This is not only our room, even the toilet in ground floor. Shower is fine, even not strong but at least fine. I don't understand why showers are fine but toilet is not. Usually opposite. Anyway, if you are alone, it won't be problem. But we stayed as family, and not only one night, we were really stressed a lot when we need to go toilet. The flush doesn't clear up easily, and you need sweating work even you are in hot summer. I would doubt the hotel managers are taking too much salaries or the owner is stingy. Anyway location is good, employees are fine, and under Mercure brand, so people will select. But indeed, this hotel should not name as hotel. This is before to let people stay in the room. Change it.

The hotel is dated but perfectly adequate for needs to be near the tunnel - I was a little hacked off that my daughter was held at the restaurant for breakfast until it was paid despite being attached to my room for charges. I had to drive back to hotel to pay the bill - to be fair reception apologised to me for it

As we came in the front door there was human vomit over the steps ! Presumably from the people at a prom being held. We booked 4 double rooms, one of the rooms was absolutely dire, worst of the 4. We went to reception where the duty staff were able to move rooms as he agreed the room wasn’t a good one in that part of the hotel. The replacement room was a disabled accessible one with walk in shower/wet room with disabled chair being the only room they had left. So we then had 4 rooms all of the same standard, worn out furniture ripped chairs, really tired looking, ants in the disabled one. The beds themselves were clean and bedding ok. We paid extra for breakfast, Saturday morning’s was awful, being shown to an uncleared table and when being prepared for us the staff were picking up the mugs with their fingers inside the mug and hands all over the food areas of the cutlery. Fresh fruit in the server was frozen due to the chiller being set too cold and the English fry up looking really sorry for itself, not sure whether they were fried or poached eggs, either way not good! Bacon and black pudding dried up, mushrooms slimy. Tomatoes, hash browns and baked beans were ok. The spa area is ok although children’s lessons were going on in the pool so not a leisurely swim. We were staying due to a family party locally so we were out until the early hours. Breakfast on Sunday was of much better quality but really not worth paying for.
