This is classic YHA set in a lovely honey pot village, with private rooms and dorms. Self catering kitchen, all very clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. Would recommend. Not related direct to this YHA but they use dynamic room prices, which just puts you off. There is a drying room and cycle shed. Would highly recommend

What excellent accommodation and facilities for all us mountain bikers. Showers were fantastic with plenty of hot water and pressure. Kitchens well equipped. . Comfy beds. Quick walk to 2 pubs in the village. Would differently recommend

Stayed in a pod as only accommodation that dogs are allowed in. Very comfy nights sleep and the staff were friendly and welcoming and the facilities were spotless. Malham is a great place to visit, beautiful countryside and great walks. There are several good pubs nearby including a fully vegan hotel open to non residents.

If you’re ever solo travelling the Yorkshire dales for the first time or even as an experienced wander and needed a bed overnight, YHA is your ideal place! Room were tidy on check-in, Beds were clean and comfortable, breakfast was gorgeous and the staff were extremely helpful! Special mention to the young lass (who I didn’t get the name of) who went out her way to run out of the complex to the bus stop I was waiting at to grab my details to issue a refund for a fee I paid after thinking I lost a key which was found! Proper above and beyond! Will defo recommend and stay again if I find myself in the area

Stayed here while walking the Pennine Way in June. As good a YHA as I have seen, and I've seen a lot. Very friendly and helpful staff, fine breakfast. Everything was clean, tidy and just as it should be. Pity they don't do evening meals, I thought the Lister Arms (next door) was expensive for what you got.

Brilliant hostel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great accommodation and amazing breakfast! I was walking the Pennine Way and the hostel is on the route and a welcome resting place after a long days walking. Theres a kitchen for use by guests, drying room, lounge area etc. All very well maintained and clean.

The guy working there was amazing (we were the girls with no map and not a lue). He printed us off a map explained where to go for the three peaks challenge and the bestway to do it. I had my dog which they were really friendly and accommodating for. The place was a nice area parking was easy and kitchen area was large and clean

Great stay in the heart of the National Park with information and staff support to help us get the most out of our stay. Staff went out of their way to give is access information and encourage us to do the bit extra. A pity the hostel did not serve evening meals but there was easy access to the self catering kitchen where it was very busy but everyone helped each other. There were two good pubs in the village as well which did very good meals. We borrowed a mobility scooter from the local hotel which they hold on behalf of the National Park but it is important to book it through Debbie North at "Access to the Dales.com" but we were able to get it straight away as it wasn't already booked.

We stayed recently in a POD, it was clean and a great little place to come back to after a long walk. Facilities were all clean and well kept, staff were friendly and helpful - water was lovely and hot for the shower! For a first time YHA stay this was a wonderful place to stay and great value for money

Great stay at the hostel, the booking was easy and the friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere, made it a very nice place to stay. Add to that the wonderful countryside and excellent breakfast. Thank you team Malham.

This YHA is in such a beautiful location, right in the middle of Malham. Be prepared that you won't be able to park (we arrived around 7pm and the carpark was full with a row of cars parked down the middle). Rooms are split between two buildings, one of which contains reception and the lounge and breakfast room, and one of which contains the self catering kitchen. Rooms were reliably comfy, thank you, but bathrooms were massively disappointing. Hand dryers went off all night (in other hostels we've found they're switched off at night to avoid people sleeping on the other side of the wall feeling like there's an aircraft taking off next to their pillow!) and the shower room floors were filthy with not a single hook available to hang a towel/clothes whilst washing. These are only small niggles, but important ones. Breakfast the next morning was great, staff were friendly.

The staff at Mallam are friendly, welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was delicious. 5 stars all round. I needed some running repairs on my Pennine Way kit and Laura and Bob went out of their way to help me out.

We had a lovely stay at YHA Malham. It was a great base for walks in the area - Malham Cove, Gordale Scar, Janet's Foss. The YHA team are helpful, the room was clean and had all that we needed, and there were some nice picnic benches outside to sit in the sunshine.

I went to book a stay here with my girlfriend and came to see that for her it was £15 but for me 30 for a shared room so i decided to not book it because I was shocked. This is ridiculous and I want to know if we we're booking it wrong or is just some unequal way of making money.
