達林旅館招待所(Darling Lodge Guest House)

Eine sehr schöne und gemütliche Anlage mit einem wunderschönen Garten, ansprechendem Frühstück mit reichlich Auswahl an Süssem und Herzhaftem. Besonders vorheben möchten wir die hausgemachten Konfituren. Die Lodge verfügt über sehr komfortable Zimmer. Die Bungalows sind sehr stilvoll und modern eingerichtet, die Betten sind ausgezeichnet, der Schlaf ist sehr erholsam. Auch der Roomservice ist sehr gut. Die beiden Gastgeber sind sehr angenehm und freundlich und geben gerne Tipps für verschiedentliche Ausflüge und Unternehmungen. Auch das Personal vom Gärtner über das Housekeeping ist sehr freundlich. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Eine wunderschöne gepflegte Unterkunft mit prächtigem Garten. Eine Oase der Ruhe und Entspannung mit besonderer Ausstrahlung. Stefan und Oliver sind perfekte Gastgeber. Diskret aber trotzdem sehr offen und hilfsbereit. Unsere Suite ist sehr schön eingerichtet. Am Morgen bereitet das Frühstücksbuffet mit dem erstklassigen Kaffee viel Freude. Schade, dass wir nur 2 Nächte gebucht hatten

Wenn eine Unterkunft in Darling, dann diese. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und familiär betreut. Der perfekt gepflegte Garten, mit altem Baumbestand, ist ein Traum. Die Besitzer haben das Flair, Altes mit Neuem zu kombinieren. So entstand eine wundervolle Harmonie aus sanft renovierten alten und neu gebauten Zimmern. Jeder kann nach seinem Gusto auswählen. Das Frühstück sucht seinesgleichen, da es von den Besitzern persönlich mit den ansässigen Betrieben exklusive für die Lodge zusammengestellt wurde. Kompliment. Wir kommen wieder.

Excellent room/bed/breakfast. Interesting regional history museum. Great nearby hike. Not to be missed: Darling Brewery and Darling Sweets. The lodge was super comfortable. Attentive and low key hosts. It's a joy all around. If you want to break up a trip from the north, say from St Helena Bay or wherever, on your way to CPT, I'd totally recommend staying in Darling. Local people very chill. The population is 1,000.

Stayed for the weekend in the Elmie Smit room. Spotless. The other garden room booked was also spotless. The host Stefan was extremely friendly. The fridge in the room worked really quickly from been switched on when we arrived. Lights that work when there is loadshedding. Pool clean and refreshing. Breakfast was lovely. Good selection on the buffet, with a cooked breakfast as well. Fantastic marmalade!!! Only downside was the shower. It should have a mixer tap to reduce water wastage, as it takes almost 2 minutes just to get the temperature right between the 2 taps, with the water just wasting away. Also, the floor in the shower looked great with the stones, but very uneven, and very painful on the feet (but I have serious problems with my feet, so for others it should be no problem). Would love to stay again. Perfect little oasis!

Soooo relaxing. 6 star comfort. Amazing ambience. Fantastic breakfast, outstanding linen and beds! 3rd stay here over 6 years. The new pool area is so well finished. Nothing is too much trouble for Stephan and his team . WiFi is powerful. Great being children and animal free area.

This is such a tranquil, peaceful, chilled out location. The lodges are so comfortable, clean and quiet. The gardens are full of trees and interesting Forna. The array of chatting birds are a delight when lazing around the pool on the amazingly comfy pool loungers. Breakfast, whether cooked or/and buffet are totally yummy and the owners Oliver and his charming partner ensure your stay is always at its best. A real treasure. The rooms are tastefully decorated in “farm chic” style. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom. It was quiet. The owners are wonderful. The gardens are beautiful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The area was safe to walk in at night and the lodge is close to restaurants.

Great place to stay. Nothing too much trouble for the hosts. Beautiful property & scrumptious breakfast.
