商人酒店(The Merchants Hotel)

First they took my payment after booking online- not as stated would be on arrival. They then cancelled my booking and charged me again - not refunding me. After staying somewhere else they have now charged me again for a no show!!! Am now awaiting another refund...

they have cancelled my booking this April because of payment error. They have already taken the money out. There is no active e mail or telephone contact. i am in the middle of reporting them to my bank for fraud.

DO NOT book here- took over £ 1000 off my credit card over three months before the actual booking date- thankfully I had paid with a CC so disputed charges- booked somewhere else. Absolute fraudsters. 🤬 Tried contacting them to give them some grace as we needed the room for Parklife. I was totally ignored. I don’t know how they thought they would get away with it???

This hotel is a scam, booked for June for one night and they have taken 3 payments from my credit card. Should be £29.99 but they have taken £327.52. Do not book. I’m currently fighting to get my money back and I booked through **********. You cannot get hold of the hotel either.

HORRENDOUS DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS HOTEL! Haven’t even stayed there but booked it for Parklife accommodation. Took the money out of my account as soon as the booking was made which was NOT agreed then have gone on to make over £2300 of payments out of my bank account. SCAM DO NOT BOTHER, PLEASE DONT BOOK HERE

Booked with ******* for just 1 night april 2nd in april 3rd out, to run Manchester Marathon 2022. The hotel charged 109 euros in advance (I asked why the wrote me that was very full so they granted themselves). It was march 8th. I did not protested. Then on march 23rd they cancelled my reservation and kept all money!! I tried to call them and wrote to them with no results. Also ******* wrote them with no results. I had to spend more than 200 euros to arrange another last time accomodation ...I was damaged. Then the crazy news: instead crediting me they again devited me 107 Euros on march 25th!!! I had to block my card and get to policeman in Italy to file a claim against them. So that ViSA can get back the money and credit me ... I also tried to speak with them in Manchester down the door was closed and nobody answered the bell nor the cellular phone indicated in the poor door. The building is ruined ...really in bad conditions and it seems closed since years. Some english boys were with me sayiing they were robbed their money, too. Incredible this happens in UK yeae 2022 and nobody control them

My son booked this hotel for three days in August 22 through ********** for £198 with free cancellation. He was meant to pay at the property. On 11th and 25th March, the hotel took two payments totalling nearly £400 from his bank account. He cancelled through ********** immediately and has yet to revieve a refund of either payment. We will be taking them to the small claims court. DO NOT TRUST WITH YOUR MONEY. All attempts to contact the hotel have failed, e mails have gone unanswered and the phone is permanently engaged. ********** are adamant that the hotel is to blame.

this is literally just a scam, please do not give them any money. ********** said that I would pay £73.44 on arrival. A few days after booking, The Merchants hotel took £147.99 out of my account. Neither myself nor ********** can get in contact with the hotel (i don't believe there even is a hotel) and so cannot issue a refund. My bank account has now exceeding an overdraft and so the bank are charging me, through no fault of my own.
