羅阿諾克島旅館(Roanoke Island Inn)

Checked in today and could not be more pleased with the hotel and room. It is located just a short walk from the Manteo NC Boardwalk, which has a lot of great shopping and restaurants and it’s facing the water so the rooms have beautiful views. Love the rockers on the second-story balcony, and it has a real old world feel to it. Our room had beautiful, antiques and was caringly outfitted with toiletries and snacks. Everything is top notch. Had a great conversation with the owner when we checked in and he shared a lot of cool stories about the property. Definitely will come back I would recommend this to anyone.

This was our first bed and breakfast experience. We had a wonderful time and found the Inn to be so charming, comfortable, relaxing and educational. A beautiful setting overlooking the water. Any amenities we could have asked for were provided. The Inn Keepers were very attentive, friendly and made sure we had anything we needed. Looking forward to returning fall of 2024 for a longer visit!!

We were always intrigued by the Roanoke Island Inn because it is so charming and finally decided to reserve a room. The reception area is absolutely enchanting with chairs to relax in, a chess board ready for players, books to borrow, and a view to die for. Our room was on the 2nd floor so we had to go up curved steps adjacent to an outdoor porch full of rocking chairs that looked out over the sound. Our room had a comfortable bed, tv, simple desk and chair, plus another chair to relax in. We were able to wander around Manteo on foot, which is a charming experience in itself. The staff at the Inn was efficient and even gave us a cell number to call if we had any problems or questions. Wow! Highly recommended.

My son and I stayed here while he attended a field trip to the outer banks. Breakfast was wonderful, we both enjoyed the selection of teas. We were given fish food so my son could feed the Koi which he loved and I loved the location, close to shops and restaurants. Even thought it was gray and rainy we still had a wonderful time.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a longer trip to the USA. What a beautiful location & place! We were lucky to have a room which looked out onto the lighthouse. We loved the spacious room & the old furniture, it was all very fitting for the location. It was lovely to sit & read in the veranda rockers in the warm afternoons after a busy day out! The level of hospitality was excellent from the housekeepers & we liked being able to help ourselves to breakfast & drinks from the 'help yourself' kitchen which was all very relaxed & convenient. The hotel is a short walk away from the boardwalk & shops although there wasn't much open when we were there as I think the main tourist season was over. Its a short drive over to Nags Head beach & the Wright Bros memorial which we visited on a couple of days. We hadn't realised that Roanoke itself was the site of the very first settlers landing so visiting the Fort & excellent visitor centre was an unexpected pleasure.

Our first stay and we absolutely love it. Quaint and adorable common areas and rooms, ours was dog friendly. Grounds were beautiful. Bikes were a special treat. Breakfast was enjoyable. We will be back!

This was an exceptionally friendly hotel that catered for all our needs. Breakfast was substantial and treats/soft drinks/coffee and fruit available 24 hours at no extra cost. Location perfect and room was spacious with a large bed. Staff had excellent knowledge of the area. One difference to your description, this hotel does not have a swimming pool

Absolutely lovely property and great location. The checkin process was so easy and I received a call from Pam early the day of our arrival to say room was ready and we could check anytime. Love that each room has its own entrance. Also they have a lovely reception room you can hang out in, get a snack or beverage or even store some cold things in the fridge. Will definitely go again.

When we booked this stay we had no idea what to expect. What we saw far exceeded any expectations! This is historic building, yet it is impeccably maintained. The location is just across the marsh, boardwalk and historic lighthouse. The views are amazing. The garden has koi pond and a gazebo. It is very quiet and peaceful place, yet in walking distance to the marina, Festival island and downtown Manteo (“t” is silent, so it is actually pronounced “Man-eo”) The beds we’re comfortable, bathrooms were clean and breakfast was served in charming kitchen. Living room has comfy seating. Check out the second floor terrace - for rocking chairs and water views. The inn was featured in the “Outerlore” - a series of ghost stories about Roanoke island. We wanted to see an apparition, but alas, nothing disturbed our sleep in our quiet room. We would like to thank our host- innkeeper Megan for her great knowledge of the area and taking good care of us!
