繆爾伍茲旅館(Muir Woods Lodge)

The pillows and the bedsheet smelled like it wasn't changed! The bed was itchy too, it may have bedbugs! Not too crazy for the high sink - looks like a big pot sitting on the counter.

Good price in expensive area. Room was newly updated, clean, comfortable. Fit what we needed. Noisy road and older building and parking lot. No breakfast.

The frontdesk did not tell me how to find the room. It took us with all luggage about 20 minutes to find the room because the room number is not in order. And there is no tag to show the direction. Also, the room given to us was not cleaned at all. I had to take all luggage back to the front desk to check again.

When I arrived for my stay, there was no one in the office, the door was locked, and no one would answer the phone. I had to go find a place to stay late at night due to this. I’d prepaid for the room which led me to paying for two hotels for one night. Can’t speak for the room as I obviously never saw it but I wouldn’t book here again.

No elevator as described but stairwells are not convenient to outside doors. Right on the road so super noisy. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast nook a nice touch to begin a visit to nearby Muir Woods.

It was very suprising clean for the price range. and the staff was very friendly and accommodating . Was very satisfied with the room, if you only need a place to stay for a few nights and close to Sausalito.

The room was stuffy and not clean. There were no washcloths in the room. The vessel sink wasn't attached to the counter. The heater was so loud that you had to keep it on low. The air filters in it were very dirty. The bathroom mirror was taped up to wall to keep it mounted. The furniture was bunched together and left very little walking space to the right side of the bed. There were loud guests and the front desk called different rooms to find out who it was. She woke me up and said that people were complaining about noise. She isn't allowed to leave office at night to check on unruly guests. We walked outside and let front desk know which room was noisy. Finally they were quiet after 2am. I will never stay here again.

I knew I wasn't staying at the Ritz, but while checking in at the front desk - I found the stuff to be very short and seemingly inconvenience helping me get settled in. The room was comfortable enough for the price, but one of the outlets on the sink counter had tape over one of the plugs. Rather than just simply replacing the GFCI, they rigged it. Not a huge deal but as an electrician this is a simple 10 minute job for somebody with a $25 part. The shower tub seem to be sinking in from rotting wood beneath the floor, not to the point of breaking. But it feels weird when the floor bubbles beneath you while showering. Our room was also adjacent to the dumpster area cut out into the wall along the hill side. Lots of trash and debris was not only on the ground but spread it all up on the hill in the surrounding trees. Not a great look. Aside from that, the property is charmingly painted with nice colors and the exterior looks just fine for a two-story roadside motel. They advertise a free breakfast but when I went by at 6:45 a.m. on a Sunday the lobby was locked and clearly nobody was getting ready for anything as soon as 7:00 a.m. 50/50 chance I'd stay again versus paying an extra $100 for the neighboring hotel in better condition.

The room is exceptionally tiny. Basic cleanliness was OK, but some details like baseboards and lamp bases were overlooked. The room had a hair dryer, iron, and ironing board, and a small coffee maker. The motel is right on a busy road but I did not hear road noise so sound insulation was acceptable. Overall, it was acceptable for an overnight stay and we spent little time in the room.
