The hotel was a dream! The whole area was a wonderful garden with different buildings, very nicely placed. The main building is a beautiful house, the unconventional hotel lobby was very inviting. We were given a large room with a veranda, right next to the pool. We liked it so much that we immediately extended our stay by 2 nights. The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful, also in organising transport/taxis. We have already recommended the hotel several times.

We spent two wonderful weeks over this 2023 Christmas holidays and the 2024 new year. Exceptional experience. Gorgeous villas, lovely grounds, great reef break out front for surfing and a fantastic pool. Can't say enough positive things. Excellent service. All staff were too notch and Sandun was a standout - very elegant man and extremely gracious. He is very customer-oriented and charismatic - hopefully he will be the manager one day! The food was also amazing - the chef is a real star too, very talented with Western and local dishes alike. Highly recommended!

Just spent another wonderful 2 weeks at Eraeliya (main house this time). Magical as ever although sadly becoming less exclusive due to surrounding development. Also some localism has finally developed on the left hand surf break. A special mention to the charming Rex, who once again made our stay so memorable. Also Sandun and Dean, together with Tharaka and Dulshan. Chef Kasun was new this year, and created superb meals. The gardens were beautiful as ever

Lovely site , busy this time with a few children which the pool and garden are unsafe for . Lovely food friendly accommodating staff as always. Rooms spacious.Weather was appalling but it was still beautiful and-very tropical. Sadly being encroached by more out of keeping buildings

Thank you for making our stay at your hotel a memorable one. hotel staff treated us very well and made sure everything we needed for a comfortable stay was readily available. Ms.Tharaka helped us a lot for supplying everything we asked. Our villa was very clean and comfortable. We particularly appreciated delicious meals in the garden, watching the waves crash in to the sand; it was so soothing. I look forward to staying at your hotel again soon! Thank you.

Our stay in Weligama, Sri Lanka was an extremely pleasant one, thanks to the hospitality by Eraeliya Villas and Gardens. The villa we stayed in, Villa Walauwa, was right next to the beach with an amazing view. The staff members were very responsive right from the point of inquiry about the villa before booking all the way till we departed. Specifically, staff members - Tharaka and Dulshan - were extremely helpful in making sure all our preferences were met during our stay, and were kind enough to promptly arrange travel for our journey from and back to Colombo. The property is rustic, cozy with absolutely breathtaking views and access to the beach (public beach). The villa is curated with plenty of traditional Sri Lankan artwork with a contemporary touch. All modern amenities were present, and the kitchen was fully equipped (although a microwave in the kitchen would be a plus). There is a beautiful dining area on the patio overlooking the sea where one can enjoy meals and coffee while watching the waves crash on the beach. The room service team (Deen and Rex) brought and arranged all our meals on this patio – excellent service. The food itself was delicious with a mix of both Western and local fare. The breakfast spread was delectable with plenty of fresh seasonal fruits. Lastly, the spa is also a must try. The therapist, Lanka visited us personally to check our preferences and provided a rejuvenating treatment. All in all, we could not have picked a better place for our visit to Weligama and we look forward to visiting again.
