薩萊託加金沙水療度假村(Saletoga Sands Resort & Spa)

Als erstes möchte ich erwähnen, daß es sich bei Salatoga Sands um eine sehr gepflegte, mittelgroße Anlage mit einem wunderschönen tropischen Garten handelt. Leider ist, entgegen der Beschreibung, kein Strand sowie WLAN oder TV in den Beachbungalows der teuersten Kategorie vorhanden, auch nicht gegen Bezahlung. Da die Anlage sehr abgeschieden liegt und der winzige Minimarkt im Hotel nur das Nötigste bereithält, keine Souvenirs, ist man gezwungen, dafür in das ca. 1 Std. entfernte Apia zu fahren. Dort haben allerdings am Wochenende alle Läden geschlossen. Es gibt keine Strandalternative, außer mit einem teuren Mietwagen vor Ort einen öffentlichen Strand zu suchen, der ziemlich weit entfernt ist. Da wir dieses Hotel nach einem 2-tägigen Aufenthalt in Apia gebucht haben in dem Glauben, gem. der Beschreibung einen schönen Strand vorzufinden und WLAN gegen Gebühr in unserem Beachbungalow, wurden wir sehr enttäuscht. Noch nicht einmal der Fernseher funktionierte, wäre an verregneten Tagen schön gewesen, da um spätestens 21.00 Uhr in der Anlage alles geschlossen war und selbst die Gartenbeleuchtung abgeschaltet wurde. So konnte man abends leider noch nicht einmal nach dieser Uhrzeit von der Rezeption, wo es WLAN gab, sicher zu seinem Bungalow gelangen, da alles dunkel war und man die Handytaschenlampe benötigte. Es gibt 2 Restaurants, wovon nur das A-la-Carte Restaurant genutzt wird, das Essen allerdings recht gut war, die Preise OK (Bier 8€), kont. Frühstück ist im Preis enthalten.

We enjoyed our short stay (3 days) The room (we had a small bungalow) was clean, spacious and well equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was generous and there was a good variety. Breakfast was buffet style and excellent. We enjoyed the pool but would have appreciated a handrail for access in/out, but the pool is lovely. The snorkelling was ok - not as good as elsewhere though but I think that is just that coastline. Would have appreciated more enforcement of the smoking/vaping areas - we don't smoke or vape and dont' enjoy it in the dining areas, bar or pool area. Overall a good stay and will will return.

Boa estadia. Staff muito gentil e simpático. Hotel simples, sem luxos mas bem enquadrado na natureza. Quartos a precisarem de reforma. As TVs dos quartos não funcionavam. Wifi apenas na recepção. Praia bonita.

The food portions were small and the price was to expensive for how much they give you, like I don’t want to have to buy two servings every time I eat. The serving staff was so bad as well, we asked for drinks and didn’t even get them until after we had finished eating.

This is a beautiful resort about an hour and a bit away from the airport. They do arrange a shuttle service but it is an additional cost. The resort is right on a reef reserve where you can hire snorkels, kayaks, paddleboards and life jackets for free whilst you stay at the resort. The rooms are nice and clean (we stayed in the beachfront villa). Housekeeping had to be reminded to clean our room on the last night and had to keep asking for soap but will put that down to them probably being new at the role (just opened back up post Covid). There are 2 restaurants on site and a couple of bars around the place. Staff are perfectly lovely and friendly and definitely aim to please. WIFI is available at the resort however, it is at an additional cost and you have to purchase a SIM from them, No digital TV either however, for a tropical holiday, you are mostly lounging outside your room or are in the pool. Overall, loved the vibe of the place and would most certainly return.

Simply gorgeous! Beautifully maintained property in a stunning spot right on the beach. I arrived early which wasn’t an issue and even got upgraded to a beachfront villa - tho all of the villas are well situated. Tv, phone didn’t work and air conditioner dripped water but it really didn’t take away from the stay. Did I mention the gorgeous outdoor shower? Staff were fabulous as were the pool are and swim up bar. I will be back.

We stayed here for two nights. The resort is perfectly nestled on the south end of Upolu, Samoa. There is a huge difference between the single rooms located on the "old" block and the newer villas spread throughout the property. It's clean but lacks simple things like phones in the rooms. This means every time you want to contact reception, you have to walk or call them from a locally procured SIM card. The staff are hospitable and kind. The food was good. I think we'll book the Villa for a better experience next time. It's definitely a place we'll visit again.

I had an amazing time at Saletoga Sands Resort. The view was breathtaking, and my children loved the chance to see the beautiful fish right next to the shore. They were also delighted watching the crabs scuttle between the rocks. A highlight for me was the theme dinner nights, adding a unique and enjoyable dimension to my stay, and the pricing was very reasonable. Saletoga Sands is a family-oriented resort. While there's a delightful splash pool and playground for children up to about 8 or 9 years old, most guests congregated around the separate swimming pool. The addition of ride toys for young children and a water slide into the ocean by the owners was a really nice touch. Even though I wasn't daring enough to go down the slide, I appreciated the creativity it brought to the property. The limited internet availability posed a challenge for my husband, but he didn't mind sitting in the lobby to stay connected, whereas I saw it as an opportunity to read a good book. Overall, Saletoga Sands Resort exceeded my expectations with its thoughtful amenities, family-friendly environment, and unique touches that made our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this resort.
