Wir waren 3 Tage mit den Zitherfreunden da. Preisleistung super. Nettigkeit unübertroffen. Das Essen sehr gut bürgerlich. Man kann essen bis man genug hat. Komme jeder Zeit wieder. Alles sehr sauber und gemütlich. Zimmer vollauf genügend und zu dem Preis perfekt.

Its a typical budget hotel located a bit far away from the Train station and Bus Stop. Nearest bus stop is about 750mtrs from the hotel. Its on the hill and if you want to reach the hotel after 7pm, you dont have a choice but to walk up. In this budget hotel bathrooms are outside the room. They dont take any request for breakfast (since we only ate breakfast there), We asked for boiled potato for breakfast but they flatly refused.

Sehr gut geführtes familiäres Hotel. Halbpension mit reichhaltigem Frühstück und „Drei-Gänge-Menü“ am Abend. Auf der überdachten Terrasse lässt sich das Essen mit Blick auf Mönch & Jungfrau genießen. Unser Zimmer ermöglichte denselben Ausblick und war an die große Außenterrasse angeschlossen. Die Mitarbeiter und Eigentümer waren offen, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Im Rahmen des IRONMAN Thun Switzerland haben wir die Ruhe ‚fernab‘ (25km) der typischen Athletenhektik genossen. Als Teilnehmer mehrerer Marathonveranstaltung haben der Chef und ein Mitarbeiter ebenfalls einen sportlichen Backround und zeigten großes Interesse an der Veranstaltung. Bei einem erneuten Start oder auch nur zum Urlaub würde ich immer wieder in das Waldhotel kommen. 2min Fußweg entfernt befindet sich die Rugenbräu Brauerei, die neben regionalem Bier, u.a. Whiskey anbietet, der auf dem Jungfraujoch (über 3400m) gereift ist (leider dieses Jahr schon vergriffen). #ironmanthun #ironmanswitzerland

It is a good hotel, no ac if you are looking for it, and it is far away from the city and it was such a walk from the train station with bags so taxi might be a move and then you have to calculate if the savings in this hotel is worth the taxi fees. I just walked but take that into considerations. The hotel works, it had beds and can work

Albergo tranquillo, camera accogliente e pulita, personale cordiale e attento ad ogni bisogno, parcheggio a disposizione, ottima e abbondante colazione. Il ristorante ha un menu variato per ogni tipo di palato.

Accueil sympathique, personnel agreable Literie confortable. Salle de bain minuscule. Hotel au charme desuet des annees 1900.

I would not recommend this hotel due to its poor location. Reaching hotel from city centre was at least 20 mins by walk and last 800m was complete uphill and desolated. Room size was very small. Breakfast was average. Some good things to callout is their breakfast area which had pretty views and a common kitchen which can be used by guests.

I would definitely recommend the Waldhotel Unspunnen to anyone looking for economical accommodation in Interlaken. The location is a bit isolated, but it's within a reasonable walking distance to Interlaken West station and the shops and restaurants on that side of town. The room was clean and in good condition and the staff was very friendly.
