We stayed at the Heritage Le Telfair for 10 glorious days. Read many reviews before booking and I have to say our experience was just as wonderful if not more so. The 2 junior suites we booked were amazing – roomy and well equipped. We had a large balcony and could see the sea from the living area, our bed and even the bathroom! There was also a large enough area to store clothes as well as all the usual items you would expect – toiletries, minibar, bathrobes, slippers, safe etc. Noor was assigned to us and provided an exceptional and personalised service. He was most helpful and soon became a dear friend of ours. The restaurants in Le Telfair were exceptional and the only buffet we visited was for breakfast and that was great too. There was lots of choice on where to dine and we managed to eat at most of the restaurants during our stay. There was even an ice-cream parlour open in the afternoons! Drinks were great, especially at the C Club bar, Cavendish and pool/beach area. We also visited the spa during our stay which was a lovely addition to the resort and we really enjoyed the different massages we had. The golf course was very inclusive and we did not feel out of place as we are not ardent golfers. The food in the restaurant in the evening was lovely too. We went over to the Awali (sister hotel) for dinner a couple of times and Zafarani was the best option serving good Indian food. We consider ourselves very lucky that we were staying at Le Telfair as it was clearly the more luxurious and friendly of the two. I need to mention the following exceptional staff (please find them and say “Hi” if you stay at Le Telfair): Rooms - Ouralie (always anticipated our needs and delivered to the highest standard) Spa – Ashvilla, Alvani and Pooja (magical hands!) Breakfast buffet – Shalini (the omelette Queen!) Annabella’s – Mukesh (a real gentleman!) Pool area – Samuel, Basil and Priscilla (amazing and lovely people) Gin’ja – Geraldine (so polite and helpful) Golf course – Saroj, Anish and Hema (arranged a tour of the new golf course and very knowledgeable) Zafarani – Harjit Singh (Head Chef – made us masala chai!) Activity Centre – Kursley and Kingsley (nice guys with lots of banter) Quad bikes – Akash (amazing guy) And of course a special mention goes to Noor who made our holiday extra special. Highlights of our holiday were: Birthday cakes on our birthdays Dining at the Le Chateau, Gin’ja and Zafarani Spa treatments Relaxing by the pool and beach areas This holiday definitely makes our top 3 and even though we try not to visit the same place twice we are so tempted to return soon!
