Immediately transporting you to the timeframe in which you know your ancestors were living in Ireland was a dream I didn't know could be fulfilled. Because of the exquisite and decades-long work of its owners, Collon House helps you relive the experience of living in a longhouse-style home of the 1700s. The authenticity of architecture, materials, colors and artwork was a delight. Breakfast in a glorious diningroom with china, crystal and silver was so special, and the food was absolutely delicious. Host and owner, Michael, helped us jetlagged travelers stay organized and get where we were going safely with great recommendations and guidance. Don't miss a stay here if you are making a visit to Ireland!

Everything about our stay was impeccable! The gardens were absolutely magnificent, the house was beautifully decorated. It was such a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. Our host was truly exceptional- warm and attentive, making us feel right at home. We enjoyed the house so much that we actually canceled our plans to visit the local attractions just to spend more time relaxing in the wonderful rooms and soaking in the serene setting.

This was a beautiful property. The gardens were some of the best we have seen and the home was like staying in a museum but warm and cozy. My wife kept giggling like Elizabeth when she went to Mr Darcy’s home in Pride and Prejudice. It really was splendid around every corner of the house. Michael made sure we had a great dinner reservation as well. Our best stay in all of Ireland.

The property was lovely and unique, dating back to the 1700s, and totally renovated by the owners. The decor was exquisite and carefully planned to reflect the time period. The owner was congenial, helpful and informative. We were offered tea and cake upon arrival and an amazing breakfast in the morning!
