Supuestamente no encontraban la reserva cuando se había echo con mucha antelación y teníamos confirmación. Para ser un hotel 5 estrellas de Marriot tiene faltas, no nos ofrecieron ayudas con las maletas, no funcionaba el mini bar, no había pantuflas ni albornoz. No disponia de hervidor de agua. El café 4/10 Se escucha a los huéspedes que se encontraban en la habitación contigua como si estuviéramos en la misma sala. La cama perfecta. El servicio de limpieza excelente, excelente.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Not What I Expected from Marriott My stay at the Medellín Marriott Hotel was extremely disappointing and stressful. I was informed that I would be charged an additional 200 simply for having a guest visit me briefly, even though the guest was not staying overnight. This policy was communicated in a very aggressive and unwelcoming manner, which made me feel uncomfortable in a hotel I was already paying to stay in. This is unreasonable and not clearly disclosed at booking. Guests should be allowed to receive visitors without being threatened with excessive charges, especially when there is no overnight stay involved. On top of that, the taxi services associated around the hotel were a terrible experience. The cab drivers charged almost five times the regular taxi fare, which felt like outright theft. As an international guest, this made me feel taken advantage of and unsafe. Overall, this was a very poor experience and far below the standards I expect from a Marriott-branded hotel. Between the unfair guest policy, lack of transparency, and exploitative transportation experience, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Medellín.

The hotel charged me for taxes and breakfast almost 250 usd, which as demonstrated later was all included in the rservation. At checkout, they wanted to charge me again 150 usd. After some duscussions, they said they will refund the money to my card in 15 days! Let's see if that happens. Being a foreigner I am not sure what to do if they do not, and I am unsure whether this was a honest mistake.

Don’t pay the additional 20% tax They make you pay the additional 20% taxes to have the breakfast because they say the breakfast is a tourist package… No other hotel in Colombia does this. Tourists don’t pay this tax in Colombia, only local Colombians. Apart from that is a nice safe hotel in Medellin.
