Medicine Hat Lodge, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

This property is really showing its age. We opted for a poolside room and the walls were scuffed up and starting to heave at the seams, our toilet wasn’t working and needed maintainece during our stay, the poolside patio was dirty. We were disappointed that the hot tub looks permanently closed down, and one of our 2 days at the hotel the pool was closed 11-4 for cleaning. The staff, however, were all extremely friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was really delicious and hot. Overall just would like to see better communication on closures and some much needed renovations

We had a good stay. The only problem we had was we were the first room in the hall. All evening and started early next morning, the security door from the elevator to the hallway slams so loud. There was lots of traffic coming and going and it was pretty loud in our room. In the morning it started at 6:30 am. We stay in this hotel quite often and I sure hope they fix how that door closes or that I never get a room next to it again. Breakfast at 9:15 was very scarce.

Call before going - the hot tub was not working - if I want to sit and watch my kids go down a slide 75 times i would prefer to do it in a hot tub. We would have cancelled had I known. Food was great and the staff were very friendly.

The Medicine Hat Lodge is an older hotel that is showing its age. Maintenance has fallen behind and renewal and modernization is required. The staff does the best they can but taking 45 minutes to get our room keys reprogrammed for our second night is to long. Five parties in front of me and 45 minutes later it was my turn. A good cleaning of the pool is required as there is a yellow scum on the tile at the water line.

Front desk staff were lovely and helpful however we were less impressed with cleaning staff having loud conversations and swearing in the hallways. The beds were very comfortable. The waterpark was the main reason we stayed at this hotel however there is no hot tub and the water was quite cold.

My room was not clean at all. Large amounts of dust hanging from ceiling vents. Tub didn’t drain right. Not vacuumed and other people’s garbage found under and around furniture. The hotel is old with no upgrades. The water slide looks like it is falling apart. 10:00 quiet time is a bit much. For the price of the room I will be staying elsewhere for less in a newly renovated hotel next time.

I used to love this place as a kid it hasent aged with the times it’s 1990 nice ! It’ll always be a favourite but it’s not going with the times

The breakfast was horrible. I stayed at the Lodge because they had a good breakfast buffet in the past. Limited selection and the food tasted terrible this time around. For the price of the stay I would expect the food would be better.

Downgraded for extra cost on my room. To be fair i had dogs, but i went from king suite to double bed plus a extra 10 bucks because they didnt have suite i booked where animals were allowed.
