巴爾姆酒店(Hotel Balm)

Ich hatte das Glück, am Ostersonntag noch kurzfristig ein Zimmer (Nr.32) zu bekommen. Leider liegt das im 2. Stock und das war für mich eine echte Herausforderung; ich bin gehbehindert ( Rollator) . Aber die Anstrengung hat sich gelohnt. Ich bekam eines der inzwischen renovierten Zimmer, mit eigenem Balkon mit Sichtschutz auf den Seiten und einer wunderbaren Aussicht auf den See. Das Bett und die neue Matratze von ca. 2x2 m war superbequem. Der Stromanschluss, den ich für meine Atemmaske benötige, befindet sich nun auf Höhe des Nachttisches, ist also gut erreichbar. Das Bad ist klein, hat aber alles, was es baucht; auch ein Fenster und eine begehbare Dusche. Das Frühstück in Form eines Buffets liess keine Wünsche übrig! Verschiedene Brotsorten, Minibrötchen und verschiedene Minigipfeli, Butter, diverse Konfi, Birchermüsli, Cornflakes, frische und getrocknete Früchte, diverse frische Fruchtsäfte. Für gekochte Eier gibt es einen Automaten, in dem man sie selbst bis zur gewünschten Konsistenz kochen kann. Ausserdem wieder eine Auswahl an verschiedenen S*****en- und Wurstsorten und natürlich die bekannten Dubler Mohrenköpfe. Kaffee, Cappucino oder Tee oder Omelette, Rühr- oder Spiegelei konnte man einfach bestellen. Der Service war - wie immer - sehr fix und überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Schön ist auch, dass ich als Alleinreisende einen Tisch für mich haben konnte, während es für Familien auch Tische für mehrere Personen gibt. Ich glaube, bis zu zehn Plätze gesehen zu haben. Einmal mehr frage ich mich, warum dieses Hotel nur 3 Sterne hat! Es hat mindestens (!) 4 verdient!

Ich habe hier zu zweiten Mal übernachtet. Diesmal vom 27.12. bis 28.12.2023. Kulanterweise durfte ich den Termin um 2 Tage verschieben, da ich mich am zuvor vereinbarten Termin nicht wohl fühlte und mir die Reise von Basel her nicht zutraute. Ich hatte dasselbe Zimmer wie letztes Mal ( Nr.20) mit Blick auf den Vierwaldstätter See und die Berge. Auch diesmal war der Service hervorragend, das Personal überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vor meiner Abreise durfte ich ein grosszügiges Frühstücksbuffet geniessen. Nach der demnächst stattfinden Renovation werde ich ganz bestimmt einmal wiederkommen!

Good hotel to stay in. Have bus stops exactly at the gate. Great friendly people who are ready to help all the time. The only caveat is that the building is old and lacks an elevator to take the luggage upstairs. But people offer help for the same. Overall very nice to stay in here

Een echt leuk hotel waar je lekker kan ontbijten maar ook 's avonds ontzettend lekker kan eten. Bus stopt recht voor de deur, 15 minuten en je staat in het centrum van Luzern. Een perfecte uitvalsbasis voor alle omliggende toppen van de Alpen te bezoeken. Supervriendelijke mensen We verbleven er 7 dagen .. ontbijt, 2 X avondeten in het restaurant, omliggende bergen bewandeld, het mooie Luzern ontdekt, dagje Zurich, gewoonweg prachtige omgeving en een mooi hotel met weinig glamour maar oh zo efficiënt

We stayed here for 6 nights in our vacation. We are family of 3 and we stayed in Triple room. Room was quite spacious with 2 bedrooms and enough storage space. Check in experience was quite smooth, our room was available an hour before check in time. Breakfast spread was good (Eggs, Breads, Cereals, Fruits, Juice, Coffee). We had desert couple of time at their restaurant which was quite good. As a guest you get access to Visitor card which allows to take Bus no. 24 to Lucerne right outside the hotel (Bus stand name is Balm). It used to take around 10 mins to reach Lucerne bahnof. Only thing missing was air conditioning but table fans were provided and room had enough windows to allow for fresh air and ventilation. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel totally exceeded all my expectations. I will say the photos online do not do it justice. There are so many great things about this hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and all speak very good english. The food is to die for. The range of choices at breakfast and quality of food I would say is the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. Fresh fruit, fresh bread, muesli, cereals, cooked eggs, cold meats and cheeses, plus more. Outstanding. We specifically asked for a top floor room as I had read in another review that the sound of people walking on the floor above disturbed that person’s stay. We did have to pay extra for this (20CHF/night). The shower deserves a special mention. The best shower I’ve ever used. Even the tap water is amazing, fresh and clean straight from the Alps. There’s plenty of free parking on site and a bus stop directly opposite. As a guest at the hotel you’re given a pass entitling you to free bus and train travel around Lucerne. The swimming pool is fab - very clean with changing facilities, a shower, and a toilet. For me, the only thing that let this hotel down was no air conditioning in the room. It got very hot in our top floor room so we had to have the windows open all night. I already can’t wait to come back and cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
