Poor check in experience. Hotel rang up day before demanding payment, otherwise booking will be cancelled ( despite booking website stating “to pay at check in”, asked to text or email ID to them which I declined due to security concerns. they were adviced about early arrival check in, acknowledged that they will send sms and email about checking in process, but on arrival no such coomunication happened. Reception is unmanned, their out of hours mobile was not connecting, they have not responded to emails, texts, voicemails. A couple arrived same time as us, having same issues. Local residents commented that this happens frequently. After 3 hours of waiting a cleaner rocked up at 2pm and let us in. No contact from reception to this date regarding issues raised. Very average rooms, poor temperature regulation, showers that have only 2 options between boil and freeze and midline is barely possible to find, bathroom fan so loud that will wake everyone up without fail. Central location is the only selling point of this property, but it has very poor admin support and customer service
