Candlewood Suites 東蘭辛(Candlewood Suites East Lansing)

Well stay was fine and was prepaid in full through *******. Upon check-in they said they needed my Credit Card for Deposit for just in case. Just got my bill and noticed they charged my CC additional on top of ******* prepaid price. Still waiting for answer from complaint I filed through ******* on this matter before I call my Credit Card company. Will leave follow up upon a response or resolution

We thought that we were upgrading to a nicer hotel by booking Candlewood and paying an additional $100/night over the competitors because we thought it had a really nice outdoor pool, full service restaurant serving lobster and steak, spa, giant fitness center, beautiful lobby, etc. It had NONE of that!!! I’m not sure where the profile photos came from. In reality it’s a completely overpriced, very basic suite hotel, in a decent location near MSU, has a small fitness center, and doesn’t even serve free breakfast. The hotel clerk told us they’ve been trying to get ********** and ******* to remove the misleading photos from the site.

The property is advertised on ******* as having an outdoor pool. They even show pictures of the big pool. There is NO pool. There has been NO pool for approximately two years. This is false advertising and needs to be stopped.

I understand that cleaning protocols are different during Covid. However, the property should advise their guests at check in that rooms won’t be serviced during a three night stay.

My room key wouldn't work. Had to get new ones twice. Didn't appreciate being locked out.& there was rust all around the sink. The refrigerator kept making noises & didn't keep my food & drinks cold. The sheets had blood stains on them. The Comforter was dirty & smelled musty. Was loud. Didn't sleep good at all. The carpet had crumbs by the bed. Didn't have enough coffeee or towels. Supplied. Veey disappointed. Won't be going back ever.

Shameful to lock out your guests returning from a U Club event at 10 pm, forcing them to call the desk or wander into the parking lot. Just key the room keys to the entry door like every other good hotel. You market yourself as connected to the Henry Center and U Club but do this!! Very bad and I have been a loyal customer!

Prompt and attentive service at front desk, exceptionally clean and very comfortable property - not to mention a magnificent rate!

I like that the staff was friendly and the roombed/bathroom was clean. In the morning they ran out of coffee in the so I couldn't get any. Out of coffee? Also had to pay for my 2 boiled eggs. A nice free breakfast would be nice.
