I form the view that unless positive feedback is provided the operators will never know how users react to their property. Please read the positives and the negatives accordingly. Montego Sands Resort is an older resort on the Gold Coast which is quickly being overshadowed by larger high rise buidlings. Some construction noise can be heard from the next door bulding in the early mornings. Our unit (16) was a nice size for our short stay to visit friends so we were only there to sleep. It was fully equpped with all of the stuff needed to cook a meal, do the washing and relax on the balcony, if needed. Security parking was guaranteed in the basement car park which required key access both in and out of the parking area. On the pros: well equipped, neat living area, TV, tea and coffee making facilities, washing machine and dryer and great WIFI along with a very comfortable bed with extra blankets.. On the Cons: black mould inhabit the the shower area. It s not hard to eliminate mould, generally white vinegar and water will kill the stuff with a bit of elbow grease thrown in. Alternatively Exit Mould products are readilly available. The carpet in the living area and bedroom was bunched and needed to be re-stretched. It could be a trip hazard. The fridge was old but clean but the 'Stainless Steel' finish was rusted on the bottom of the fridge door which detracted from its overall appearance. The microwave cavity was untidy, indeed parts of the unit needed a good clean. Kitchen windows were a bit grubby. There are no elevators, from the basment to the first floor and it was slow for two 70 yo guests with suitcases and other bags to lug up the stairs. However, the tariff was very competive, it was close to the surf club for meals and drinks. If the maintenance items listed were dealt with I would make a more positive recommendation to stay there again.

Very good service Lillian was great, she helped us with a unit for a few hours on our arrival as we were early arriving and our unit was not ready for us ,,this was very good of her as we flew from Perth on the midnight flight and were very tired .We will stay there again . close to all amenities shops transport etc, thanks again to Lillian and her staff Rex and Maureen

My partner and I recently stayed for several days at the Montego Sands Resort and found the experience underwhelming. Our apartment was reasonably clean and tidy, however it is clearly tired and in need of refurbishment. Beyond the unit itself, the general level of upkeep across the property was disappointing for accommodation of this type and price point. These observations reflect personal experience and come from years spent staying at well-managed properties, as well as professional experience in residential property management and body corporate administration. I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect consistent baseline standards to be met. The pool area was the most noticeable concern. The tile band showed a visible build-up of grime, including residues consistent with oils and sunscreen, suggesting it had not been thoroughly cleaned for some time. Based on appearance alone, it did not present as a well-maintained swimming area. I chose not to use the pool again after a single visit. Other common areas presented similarly. Cobwebs were visible on sun lounges, several potted plants appeared dead or poorly maintained, and tiled surfaces throughout the site would benefit from a thorough clean, particularly around the BBQ area. In addition, some entrance steps had loose or missing treads, which detracted from the overall presentation. Taken together, the common areas had a tired and neglected appearance that impacted the quality of the stay. With routine maintenance and attention to cleanliness, the property could present far better. As experienced, however, it did not meet expectations.

Montego Sands Resort, is well placed in Mermaid Beach, a 2 minute stroll to the beach, around 10 minute walk to Broadbeach south transport hub to catch the Tram or Buses, also the Pacific Fair shopping Mall is next to the transport hub, a 5 minute walk to Mermaid Beach Surf life Restaurant excellent food at good prices. Walk along the walkway that follows the beach along to Broadbeach, takes 10-15 minutes, then Surfers Paradise another 15 minutes walk from there. Accommodation itself is clean, nice Spa & pool to relax in. Nice quiet place to enjoy & relax

I stayed at Montego Sands for over 2 weeks in June/July 2022 in a one bedroom deluxe apartment. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything that I needed. The manager Terry was very helpful and arranged a ground floor apartment. The venue was in a good location at Mermaid Beach in close proximity to Broadbeach and Pacific Fair.

Terry was excellent to deal with, very accommodating to our needs. Excellent communication. Unit was very clean, comfortable and location was perfect to everything. Parking was good and secure. Pool and Spa was lovely. Recommend staying here is looking for a place to stay.
