堪薩斯城梅里亞姆凱藝酒店(Quality Inn Merriam Kansas City)

The power went out during my stay and while this is fine I’ve yet to receive any kind of compensation nor my deposit back for the room. All of the amenities they had to offer were unusable during two out of my three night stay. I understand that they don’t control the weather but the fact that nothing has been offered or communicated is absurd.

I walked into my room, and the floors were dirty and not even moped. You could see where peoples foot prints were. The elevator was very very dirty. I was moved to another room, same thing un-mopped floor with foot prings. Curtain in this room did not work. Just a dirty place.

Quality of the room for the price was over paid and the staff when we checked in wasn't very well trained. We booked the room s few months in advance and when we arrived, a room had not been assigned to us. She had us pick out 5 different rooms before she found one that we could actually have. The whole process was aggravating and annoying.

The hotel was only 5 miles from KU Med Center and allowed us to check out at noon. The king-bed room was simple but adequate and the price was better than what we could find elsewhere. Breakfast--yogurt, juices, waffles, sausage gravy over biscuits, and cereals--was good.

Staff was pleasant and helpful. My wife and I on ground floor next to a side entrance. Side entrance door, even though fitted with key card security, could easily be opened without card. Not very safe. Continental breakfast very basic ( biscuits and some kind of gravy, u cook pancakes, two kinds of cereal, no bread, peanut butter, eggs, bananas, etc.). I have cancer-stage 4, so appreciate protein. Not much here.

The hotel hallway had a smell to it. It needs a maintenance person...the shower head area and other things were in need of repair. The blow dryer didn't work. We had no hot water, we didn't know if it was from the power outage or not.

Took 15-20 min for desk staff to make it to desk for check-in. A few sports tournaments in area so very busy, room smelled like fresh paint.

Nice breakfast, friendly staff, amazingly comfortable beds! Nice shower pressure to!
