文森特酒店(The Vincent Hotel)

V cafe has been going for years, so us Southporters can recognise that it’s gone right downhill. The sushi is nowhere near what it used to be, the beautiful club sandwich has been replaced by a burnt, hard alternative and TWICE now I’ve been served a still frozen bao bun. The only consistent thing on the menu is the duck spring roll, which is as delicious as ever. After being a loyal regular I now only visit twice a year and usually regret it. Waste of money and calories.

A one night stay in Southport and didn’t really have high expectations. This hotel is really good…..and that was one of the surprises in Southport. Excellent front desk service from Carl and easy valet car parking. Room was great, albeit you have to be a gymnast to get into the shower/bath. Excellent toiletries in rooms. Breakfast was good quailty.

Not our first visit to The Vincent, and it was just as good as we remember, my wife mentioned it was our wedding anniversary and they kindly decorated the bed with rose petals and left a tray of posh chocs, I didn't get a look in ! We had a corner suite, that had a nice little balcony. We used the bar a couple of times, the drinks were really good. Valet parking takes all the stress our of finding somewhere to park in Southport. Looking forward to our next stay.

My husband booked this for my 50th birthday, he was under the impression it had a spa, but it doesn't they basically have a beauty room so was really disappointed. Nice room though, comfy bed, good location The Irish bar across the road is great

This place has been a reliable haven of quality in Southport for many years but tonight’s visit was really poor. Badly printed menus, truculent service, misleading descriptions on the menu & ordinary cooking combined to make it a disappointing evening. The manager was sympathetic & took a bit off the bill but I’d rather pay full whack for a decent, honest meal. Come in Vincent, you can do better!

This would be a mediocre 3-star hotel at best. After already paying for the room, I was forced to give a 50-pound deposit at check-in. Felt like an absolute criminal and ruined the stay. This really pretentious obnoxious receptionist tried to laugh it off and was doing anything but validating my annoyance. Having stayed at multiple hotels, this is the first time I'm ever heard of this. Fuming is not the right word. If you don't trust people don't run a hotel. I was not at ease, and felt like a criminal

Emily behind the bar is a master mixologist. We stayed for 12 nights and she looked after us throughout. Superstar, thank you Emily!! Shout out to Jack and Molly from the restaurant also ! Brilliant. The staff literally couldn’t do enough for us.

I can't understand why this hotel has had negative comments. I found it spot on from start to finish. On arrival, we checked in and went to our room to find an upgraded balcony room, petals on the bed wishing my husband a happy birthday, plus a slice of delicious cake. Such simple touches that meant so much. The room, public areas, bar, and restaurant were all spotlessly clean. The breakfast on Sunday was buffet style, and on Monday, we were allowed to order from the standard menu. Both days delicious food, both days excellent service. I have no negative points to say about this hotel. Well done, thank you, and we will be back!

Young female servers do well. Afternoon tea quality average. Receptionist unwelcoming, no eye contact, nothing! Welcome by restaurant manager as poor no smile, couldn’t be ****d attitude. No menus of teas other than English Breakfast or a small number of fruit teas. Complicated 2:1 deal with Prosecco. Still don’t understand it. Avoid at all costs there are nicer, more welcoming more deserving of your custom places. We were there Saturday 20 Jan at 17:00. You know who you are.
