Review of Kukun Casa Colima 49, Suite 203 Our party of 6, 3 couples stayed for almost a week in this 3 bedroom suite. We chose this suite for it’s location in Roma Norte, the 3 bedroom accommodation and the photos provided on the Airbnb website. We were visiting CDMX, coming from San Miguel de Allende, Oakland, Ca and Vancouver, Canada. All but one couple had previously been to CDMX and all have stayed in Airbnbs or VRBOs elsewhere. We are seasoned travellers and most all of us are retired Architects from the USA or Canada. Here is the “good” about the 3 BR suite #203. Great location in the heart of the gentrified Roma Norte on a vibrant Calle de Colima with many trendy and highly rated restaurants, bars and boutiques. The cost seemed quite reasonable for the accommodations provided. While the website photos were not of this particular suite, they did fairly accurately depict the look and feel of the rooms. There was plenty of space to spread out and the rooms were quite bright with natural daylight, though one bedroom and the Living Room faces a small light well which is shared by other rooms of other suites, so privacy is only provided by blackout roller shades. Suite 203 had one ensuite bathroom, a 2nd bathroom and a powder room. It seems the building may have had suites in a previous life, but the current building and suites must have had a renovation about 5 years ago or less as there is a newness to the accommodations which were quite clean upon arrival. Furniture was generally comfortable, but beyond the requisite dining table and chairs and sectional sofa and chairs and coffee table and a couple of small work tables, the suite was spare with little additional decoration or artwork. There is a balcony which two of our bedrooms shared which faces onto Calle de Colima. Beds and bedding were comfortable and clean. Wifi internet connection worked well and with easy access. The TVs had access to Netflix, Amazon Prime and Apple TV+. There may have been Disney + too. The in-suite washer dryer was useful. There is elevator access and security is manned by an attendant and entry to the suite is secured by a digital electronic lock, the code for which is provided 30 minutes before check-in time. Remote check-in worked smoothly and we were able to store luggage with our early arrival with the attendant on site. Also whenever we sought assistance from the property manager, Kukun by text or email, they were quite prompt (same day or next day) with responding with issues they could quickly address. And now for the not so good. One comment that seems to recur again and again in other property comments on Airbnb is the supply of hot water, or lack there of. This should be basic provision, but there seems to be a capacity and response problem with the tankless hot water system in this suite. It take about 5 minutes for the shower on full volume for the water to heat up and once it does become very hot, it lasts for a few minutes a
