My partner and I had the most incredible stay at this charming bed and breakfast! This was our first time staying at a B&B, and it completely exceeded our expectations. We were visiting for Mittenfest, and the location couldn’t have been more perfect—just a short 10-minute walk to the festival, making it super convenient. The entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The room and common areas were beautifully decorated, cozy, and welcoming. It really felt like a home away from home. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the hosts were so warm and friendly, making sure we were well taken care of throughout our stay. If you’re looking for a great place to stay in the Bay View neighborhood, this is it! We can’t wait to come back for another visit. Highly recommend!

This Inn is a must-stay place! Mary Ellen and Andrew are wonderful hosts. The rooms are amazing (we took 3 of the 4 suites), the breakfasts are out of this world, and there is much to do and appreciate near-by. Two blocks away are great restaurants (great burgers at LuLu!), a record store, a guitar shop, a knitting store, a used book store, ice cream (Babe's), and cookies-with-ice-cream (Insomniac). And those are just the some of the places we patronized. It's a short drive to downtown Milwaukee where there a many things to do - check out the suggestions The Muse provides. We will be back!

It was an excellent stay overall. Good place if you want to be in BayView neighborhood and/or a short drive to downtown MKE. Room and common areas are comfortable and well decorated. Breakfast was delicious. Hosts are friendly. Would stay again.

Full of character, art and coziness. This BnB is everything you’re wanting in a nice stay. Located in a nice neighborhood with anything you need/want within walking distance. Couldn’t recommend end this place enough.

What a beautiful guesthouse! Mary Ellen and Andrew are very gracious hosts and made us feel at home straightaway. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We were also encouraged to use other parts of the house, including a comfortable sitting room with drinks and snacks - delicious homemade cookies! Breakfast was very tasty and beautifully presented. This is a true home from home and we will be back - with friends too!

What a GEM! Stop and just book a room now. We loved getting away from the real world and staying in a beautiful, colorful, comfortable haven. We stayed in Angela which is like having an entire apartment to yourself! Read on the chair by the window, make yourself a cup of coffee in the kitchenette. And after having stayed at numerous B&Bs, we haven’t met nicer hosts! You’ll love the super cute refurbished neighborhood shops and restaurants too—we shall be back this summer!

The Muse is an exceptional experience! The Victorian house was restored with lovely touches throughout. Beautifully decorated with works of art by local artists - everywhere you look there is art and unique curios. The bedrooms are comfortable, and well appointed. Mary Ellen and Andrew are such gracious, welcoming and friendly hosts - made me feel right at home. The breakfasts - totally amazing! Each day was a different gourmet delight - Mary Ellen made sure to respect my dietary restrictions, and everything was totally delicious! My three day stay was a total pleasure.

This place fully deserves it’s top rating from Trip Advisor. You already know what the pictures show you, but once you arrive, you’ll realize you’ve found something very special! Andrew and Mary Ellen are gracious hosts. If you want, they’ll give you a tour and explain all that your eyes behold! Yes, just like the name suggests, it truly is a gallery! (Art that is available for purchase if you are so moved to do so! ) We stayed in the Angela room which is a large upstairs suite with a separate living room and balcony! The two of us were unable to utilize the entire space during our two night stay! It’s located in a thriving, yet quiet part of town which was fun to explore! In the morning, the breakfasts seemed straight from the garden, multi course, accommodating and obviously cooked with love. (Mary Ellen is a fabulous cook!) As one guest shared “this food is better than my mothers! But don’t tell her I said that!” If there’s a downside (which I couldn’t find one!) my friend is a little uneasy with her balance so she slightly struggled going up and down stairs, but she asked me to NOT include this as it didn’t take away from her perfect 5 star rating of the MGG! But, if you have a similar issue, know there are multiple first-floor rooms for you to choose from! The cost was similar to hotels and for the weekend we were in Milwaukee, it was about a third of the price of any available hotel! An absolute steal of a deal!! Enjoy your stay! Mary and Andrew are wonderful hosts. The Muse was the best place I stayed for my entire weeklong workcation road trip. The BnB also doubles as an art gallery of local Milwaukee artists so if you see something you like, you can likely even take it home! I stayed in the Julia room and would absolutely do it again. The bed was very comfortable and the soaking tub was sublime. Delicious breakfasts and great walkability to the nearby Kinnickinnic Ave which is full of local bars/breweries, restaurants, cafes, and even bookshops! Mary and Andrew would always have great recommendations for local places which was great since I struggled to choose sometimes with so many choices and only being there for a couple nights. Looking forward to visiting Milwaukee again and when I do I know I'd be staying at The Muse!
