Residence Inn Charlotte City Center

Room was fine. Location was great. Unfortunately though the lack of staff at this hotel made this a hotel I would definitely not recommend or stay here again. When we arrived to check in no one was at the front desk. There was a sign saying they would be back soon which they were. Ok - no big deal. Throughout the stay I found the front desk people to not be knowledgeable about the area around the hotel. The day we were checking out (a Sunday) I had tried calling the front desk all morning with no answer. I finally went to the front desk, same sign saying they would be back soon. Soon apparently is relative because there was no one at the front desk almost the entire morning (I never did see anyone). Several problems with no one being around to help or answer questions. One of those problems is if you have to get back into the hotel from the parking garage (several floors beneath the hotel) and no longer have your key you are relying on someone at the front desk to buzz you in. Thank goodness the guests at this hotel helped each other out that morning and we were all talking about the lack of staff.

The stay was very nice. My only issue was our room was on the 21st floor. Awesome views. However, we were just below the rooftop bar and we could hear the music from the bar through the vents. Not too disturbing but noticeable without the tv on to drown the sound.

Great hotel! Right in the middle of uptown. Close to the bus line and the blue line for rail system! Across the street from where the Hornets play! I loved the locale! You cast all four a better location. The free breakfast was great too! it was enough to food to get through the morning on! A basic egg, sausage, bacon, pastries breakfast! My room was a great size. I loved it!

Everything was great until we were ready for bed. The room is advertised as having a pull-out sofa. There were no extra sheets or blankets. We had to call the front desk four times over the course of an hour and a half before someone delivered them to us.

Staff who checked my husband in upset him. Was not friendly and talked harshly because he sat his shoes on the counter to reach for his identification as she requested. She was pretty haughty not giving him time to say his Redic upon arrival. He’s still upset about it today . These type of situations are unacceptable and I’m the one as the wife who has to deal with the aftermath. Not a pleasant stay

Despite them not having a room available due to being the cheer competition, they handled the matter in a professional manner. I was moved downstairs to AC Loft where they also took good care of me.

Delighted with our stay. Staff were courteous and helpful. Quiet room, clean and updated!! Location has onsite parking deck was perfect for dining and walking to area venues.

Everything was great except that we missed breakfast coz the staff I talked to gave the wrong info, told me it’s open til 10am instead of 9am.

Amazing. The room came with plates, cups, and utensils. The view of the city was amazing. The room was very clean and looked exactly like the pictures. The staff were super friendly. Would stay here again.
