Un magnifique endroit pour se reposer avant de repartir en France ! Chambre spacieuse et de tout confort ! Des lits à balanciers sur la plage d’où l’on a plus envie de partir ! Un staff très agréable aux petits soins pour nous ! Le seul point négatif pas un grand choix de repas si on veut y asser plusieurs jours ..

The Lantern est une petite structure de 6 chambres, chacune avec sa grande terrasse face à la plage, très confortables, décorées avec goût (la salle de bains au top !) où rien ne manque, pas même un spa et des massages balinais... L'hôtel au cadre magique se distingue plus encore par sa restauration tout à fait exceptionnelle, disponible à la demande. Le chef de cuisine, Dilruk Nilantha, office avec son équipe dans une cuisine ouverte sur la salle, elle même ouverte sur les extérieurs (piscine et plage de sable blond). On y est bien, matin midi et soir si l'on veut, servis par une équipe aux petits soins. La direction est présente et à l'écoute. L'hôtel est à l'écart de l'agitation de Mirissa, accessible en 5 minutes en tuk tuk. Certes la mer est ici dangereuse, et mieux vaut se promener 300m au bord de l'eau pour aller se baigner un peu plus loin en toute sécurité. La piscine dispense aussi de cet effort aux heures chaudes ! Gallé, où aller absolument, est à moins d'une heure en voiture, et l'hôtel vous arrange la ballade. Nous sommes restés 4 nuits dans ce havre de paix et avons regretté de ne pas y séjourner plus longtemps. Certes le prix est relativement élevé, mais le jeu en vaut la chandelle !

Clean hotel. Well designed hotel, ideal for privacy given the number of rooms and size of hotel. The staff is amazing - helpful, friendly, well trained, know when to ask or offer service, and can speak English well. Food was also good.

We stayed at The Lantern for three nights at the end of our family trip to Sri Lanka. The hotel is exceptional. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The interior decor was extremely tasteful Throughout the hotel. The pool was wonderful, very warm. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The staff were very attentive. Overall we had a very comfortable stay.

It was simply a marvelous stay, fully complemented with everything a holiday necessitates. Relaxing atmosphere, delicious food, very good room cleanliness and hygiene, and last but not least the staff was very professional, friendly and caring. A venue which tops all standards. Recommended!

This place is great for families who want a more private environment for a stay. Staff were great upon arrival. Facilities and rooms were clean with smart tvs. Restaurant had tasty food and a variety of choices on the menu. A big shout out to Dewi for the incredible massage! Super friendly and accommodating to your comfort. Plenty of activities surrounding the hotel, with a calm beach 5km east where you can swim with turtles and snorkel. Another shoutout to Sajith as he was our main contact during our stay. He was also very accommodating, professional and friendly and couldn't find a fault with this place. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area.

Me and My family recently stayed at this fantastick butique hotel, and it exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming. Espesially Mr. Lakmal, who was an outstanding manager, ensuring we had a fantastic stay with memorable and enjoyable experiences. The hotel's decor was elegant and modern, creating a luxurious ambiance. Our room was spacious, very clean, and equipped with all the amenities we needed. The hotel's location was ideal, offering stunning beach views and easy access to nearby attractions. The on-site dining options were outstanding, with a wide array of delicious dishes. I also enjoyed the relaxing spa facility. Overall, my experience at this fantastick hotel was truly unforgettable, and I can't wait to return for another fantastic stay!

Lantern is a beautiful boutique hotel with 6 rooms. It has a lovely pool and beach in front of it. Rooms are very spacious, very clean and well kept. Very classy! Hotel is situated in a quiet location with short distance to Turtle Bay or surfing in Weligama. Hotel also have a Balinese spa that the entire family utilised. Hotel staff is extremely friendly and very attentive, catering to all our needs with a huge smile on their faces Food an beverage also very good. We stayed 3 nights to chill after visiting inland Sri Lanka. We will definitely stay again and even planning to rent the entire hotel for a vacation with friends from Norway over Christmas and new years. Lakmal, the manager, really helpful and service minded, perfect assistant when planning a stay at Lantern and during to make stay exceptional. Comes highly recommended!
