御庭酒店(Royal Court Hotel)

After reading the reviews about the Hotel, I wasn't sure if this would be the hotel for me but I bit the bullet and spent three nights there due to a lack of good hotels in town and their close proximity to the port and other businesses in Mombasa. I had a clean room and bathroom, the food was excellent and service was great too from friendly staff to the overall atmosphere in the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone thats in town for vacation or business.

This place is a no go place for anyone who values hygiene. I was allocated a room in 5th floor that I definitly could not have chosen to change. I had the fear that all the rooms were no different . The bathroom is filthy and I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all at all. I hated everything in that hotel just because of the dirty room.

Hôtel très bien situé et personnel accueillant. Piscine sur le toit rend bien service quand la clim ne fonctionne pas (très souvent du coup habituez vous à vous "rafraichir" à la piscine). Nourriture moyenne et salle à manger très austère. Cet établissement convient pour un court séjour...

Lets be charitable, everywhere is struggling to get over covid. But this is well below anything excusable. Bar on sixth floor restaurant on first? Roof top it isn't. We waited for an hour while they rummaged up a very poor quality and overpriced meal. In fact I think they gave a few shillings to a tuk tuk driver and told him to go round town and pick up food from street stalls, but that's doing street food a disservice.

The cleanliness of the beach

The room was fairly clean but could have been better if it had been aired n bathroom cleaned to remove mould and stale smell

The place is terrible, i would not recommend anyone to stay in this place even for short stay. The food is horrible especially breakfast, the toilets in the rooms domt work and flood at the same time, there is souch noise and racket in the wee hours of the night people moving furniture around. Overal the place is just a nightmare and also overcharging rooms that dont even meet basic standards. Horrible

We used this hotel as a one- off stop prior to onward travel and worked perfectly for a close stay to the airport. Convenient and reasonable breakfast.

Staff at the hotel are very helpful and kind. It was raining during our stay and the staff were working tirelessly to keep the floors shinning and free of dirt tracked in from the street. The breakfast was very nice with lots of choices and the staff would serve you and make omelets or sunnyside-up, The area at night was quiet and it was easily accessible as it is in the town centre. The beds are comfortable and washrooms have enough towels, soap and shampoo. Tub also drains well. Only missing iron and ironing board in the rooms, otherwise has a small fridge, TV, AC, coffee and tea maker and water bottles. Overall our stay was excellent and we would definitely consider staying there again.
