This hotel is without doubt not only the worst premier inn I’ve ever stayed in but one of the absolute worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The building itself is old and the design of the rooms emphasise this. Every time a door shuts it omits a loud bang which in a building designed for sleep is not very helpful. We were in the far room at the front of the building on the ground floor and every time the people in the room above us closed their door it made our whole room shudder. I must admit that the night staff were severely unhelpful and didn’t seam to want to do anything about this or help us. We spoke to the staff on duty in the morning but we did not want to risk having three nights of unsuccessful sleep after the disaster of the previous night. We then told the staff we would be checking out early an don their recommendation speak with the customer service team on Monday to inform them that the goodnight guarantee hadn’t been fulfilled. We then called the number and they informed us that because we were on a non flex rate and had booked out early that they could only refund one nights worth of bad sleep and that the remaining £200.00 would not be refundable. I must admit for two people on their honeymoon this is a huge kick in the teeth and I did inform premier inn that I will not be using them again of this is how they mistreat their customers. This hotel literally has opened my eyes to what an appalling company they are and that I’d rather save up and stay some where better than spend little and receive terrible service from this sleazy and soulless company.

Our stay was lovely beds were very comfy, hotel was very clean, special mention to Lorraine the receptionist she went above and beyond for me and my family amazing lady Definitely recommend and would definitely return Thankyou x

Excellent service, staff friendly, rooms and hotel spotless, we couldn't be happier with everything, we were visiting family and spent most of the evenings in our rooms, the beds were comfortable and rooms.extremely clean, the reception staff were great and engaged in conversation so did the housekeeping staff which was great too because they gave you a sense of welcome

We booked this hotel at short notice to take advantage of the beautiful weather. The room had a fabulous view over the countryside, it was immaculately clean and the bed was supremely comfortable. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient and came across as very professional. The only downside was workers up & leaving the hotel at 6am disturbed us by slamming room doors & fire doors on the way out but other than that I can highly recommend this hotel g would definitely return 10/10

This hotel is located in a industrial place but its a great location for getting to places. The hotel staff are polte and the rooms are clean. The beds are great and comfy. Very clean and spacious. Not sure if I would recommend the breakfast in the restaurant next door. I found the place to be dirty, toilets dirty and nothing freshly cooked for you. Its all on a buffet. Depends what you want from a breakfast. Staff dont come and clean your tables either so you find your places stack up as well. We also tried this place for dinner and its just as bad. But the Premier Inn is a lovely place to stay and has good parking to. I would definately go back.

Very clean get everything you need had the best sleep ever really quiet staff were great will stay again if I go to Scotland the area was good parking was good and the whole place smelled fresh and inviting we really liked our stay the price was really good for what you got

Decent bedding and clean room. Shower power was weak, and reception could be more friendly. Price for the night was higher than should be, but may also be due to late booking

Staff incredible at hotel & restaurant & nearby Costa. Clean & comfy. Limited charging points - but wonderfully surprising little touches.

First, I was disappointed that Bill wasn't on the reception desk as he had checked me in on all m previous visits however there was a very friendly girl there instead who was very pleasant, helpful and welcoming. A smile really goes a long way. All the other staff were smiley and friendly too. I like Monifieth PI as it is still as it was, un-refurbished and traditional but it still feels fresh. I managed to get a meal in the restaurant which was only open to residents fo meals on Friday, unfortunately it was completely shut on Monday so I went to Dundee entre for breakfast there instead. Super, friendly hotel. Staff went out of their way to help us with all of our needs. Hotel very clean. Plenty of parking. Costa coffee and Dobbies on the doorstep.

There was a friendly reception upon arrival. Our room was scrupulously clean and well-provided with facilities. The hotel is well-positioned for access to the Angus coast, is within easy reach of Dundee and it is a short distance to shopping facilities in Monifieth. Staff were friendly. This was our second stay at this hotel and we would be happy to return again.

Old style Premier Inn with no air conditioning, old style bathroom and threadbare towels with unpleasant smell. Bed was good as was bed linen. small TV and narrow table below difficult to use for working. The hotel floor boards were loose and noisy as could hear other people moving about.

Our stay at the Premier Inn was great perfect for what we needed. Very clean friendly and secure. The brewers fayre was our only niggle for 2 days of the stay when decided to close without notice

Attending a wedding at the nearby Forbes of Kingennie so a perfect location for us at a very reasonable price (booked in advance). Quiet room afforded an excellent sleep with breakfasts and an evening meal all being good quality and value - the sirloin steak was exceptional considering the price. All staff were efficient and friendly.
