恩佩里亞高山脈酒店(Empeiria High Sierra Hotel)

We enjoyed almost everything. The buffet was very good, and the cook was great. The room was nice and quiet. However, due to the unprecedented snowfall the snow was 4 feet above our rear first floor windows and so close to the building that we would have been trapped inside if a fire was in the front hallway. Either the snow should have been removed or the room not rented until there was space to get to an outside safe place. If there ever is an emergency and someone is injured or killed due to inability to escape the hotel’s liability will be significant.

Remodeled to a modern look. Good Staff. Breakfast was fine (though have to pay). Lighting in the room was less, especially towards the farther side from door. Its probably old thin wall. Luckly our neighbors did not make much trouble. Quality of soaps could be better.

This is one of the few hotels in Mammoth with A/C. The A/C is quiet, powerful and you set it yourself. We arrived during a heatwave, switched from an apartment in a 4* hotel with multiple problems, I was in a terrible mood hassled and covered in mosquito bites despite using spray. This hotel staff could not have been nicer. A load of hotels in Mammoth had construction after a brutal winter, this one too installing new windows, but we did not hear construction noise at this hotel at all! It is a very modern, sleek hotel, simple no fluff . Wifi- Apple phones no problem. Androids may have to reconnect near reception when reentering the hotel before going to room. Breakfast was good selection. I don't eat meat. Husband liked the sausages and bacon. Real OJ but not best quality. Shower head needs cleaning, not dirty, but not all jets open. Make sure house cleaning mops floor. Otherwise everything clean, good beds, fridge, microwave. Pool and hot tub empty. We are light sleepers, we could hear the vending machine noise outside our room. I would shift the machines away from the wall and sound proof it a bit. But I really like the range of vending machines, for snacks and essentials. We were in a larger than average room that actually worked better than the apartment for a couple. Overall, this hotel has great management, really nice staff. And best of all A/C!!!!

The bed was really hard and therefore I didn’t get much sleep. The pillows were equally firm and uncomfortable. There was no table in the sitting area. No hand soap. The bottle was either empty or didn’t work. The lighted mirror blinked and flashed like it had a short in it. So, there was no light available to put on make up or brush our teeth. The toilet paper dispenser was really squeaky. It was loud and like nails on a chalkboard annoying. The breakfast was not included. It cost $12. It was cold and very basic. The cut up fruit was over ripe pineapple with very, and I mean very small pieces of cantaloupe with it. The orange juice tasted like water downed tang. And the milk tasted like powdered milk. You can get scrambled eggs, sausage, and pancakes with Hashbrowns and real orange juice at McDonald’s. At McDonald’s it will be hot and cost less. It was clean. Having a refrigerator and microwave was nice. If we would’ve had a table in the room, we would’ve been able to enjoy our food that we brought. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The checkout staff was equally pleasant.

Very functional and clean room with extra seating and new carpet and furniture. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice place to stay we will definitely be back. Good deal for a really nice room.

I liked the location of the property, it was close to the town center of Mammoth Lakes and it's only a few minutes drive from the hotel to the ski resort. What I didn't like was the price, I paid for 3 nights and this was one of the cheaper hotels in town. In any other town this hotel would cost a third of what I paid, yes it was clean but it was very old and out dated. The Empeiria High Sierra Hotel was equivalent to a Motel 6 or a highway stop Best Western, nothing special it was just clean, which is good I guess!

Very convenient to access all Mammoth has to offer. We would stay there again.
