I arrived late from the airport and struggled through a restless night as the hotel is on a very busy thoroughfare. Trucks go by all night and the windows provide almost no insulation from the noise. Add to that internet kept dropping. My room was at the end of a very long hall so perhaps I was just too far from the router. The fan in the bathroom sounded like a passing train and went on automatically when you turned on the light so I ended up using the bathroom in the dark. In the morning I asked if I could change my room and was told to check availability later that day. When I returned early evening I was told that someone would bring a key up to my room and help me move. After over an hour I went back to reception desk. The woman searched rooms but the two she offered had similar locations; one room was actually worse since it was across the hall from whatever machinery controlled temperature in the hotel and it sounded like a power plant. After standing there for some time the manager came out and intervened. I was given a slight upgrade and a room that faced the side road. It was much quieter! Internet was a little better but not by a lot—very slow and tough to stream. I'd hoped to watch some evening sessions from the conference I was attending but no such luck. As to other aspects of the stay—breakfast buffet is pretty uninspired and pretty unappealing although the woman at the grill was great. Coffee was undrinkable unless you like dark water. The rooms (even the upgraded one) are very basic—bed, cable TV (CNN came through with a lot of interference in the upgraded room), towels, shampoo, body lotion, two bottles of water. No tissues. I had to ask for a hair dryer at the desk. No extras. On the plus side, the hotel is very clean!
地點位於蒙特雷,交通位於樞紐、附近有Walmart、星巴克、以及很多不錯的餐廳;早餐的選擇性還不錯,客房算乾淨,住了2個星期的商務行程,整體感受還OK。 The location is located in Monterey, the traffic is at the hub, there are Walmart, Starbucks, and many good restaurants nearby; the breakfast options are not bad, and the rooms are clean, I stayed for 2 weeks for a business trip, and the overall experience is OK.
I stayed here for 4 nights in January 2024. The hotel is new, very clean, well maintained, and (mostly) quiet. (I was in a room next to the elevator and for some reason on one night the elevator kept dinging its arrival...even if it wasn't arriving on my floor). I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again. My only challenge--and this is not the hotel's fault--was getting Uber pickups. The app autocorrects for pickup at the building behind the hotel which isn't a big deal but was annoying initially.
What a surprisingly gorgeous hotel! Just about everything about the property was top notch. Only the buffet was a little lacking, mainly because it had a different theme each day, and “Oriental” Monday lacked in flavor. (And my drink at the bar lacked in alcohol.). Otherwise, a wonderful experience. I would definitely return.
This is a nearly perfect business hotel. The rates are good, location is nice, accommodations are modern and the views were a very pleasant surprise. During the holidays they had a nice festive atmosphere in the lobby. The primary reason for the 4 stars is that as a business hotel, breakfast needs to start at 6 am. We, along with many others, were lined up and waiting for the breakfast to open each morning. For many of us, our meetings start at 8 am and Monterrey is our base point so we will have to travel to the sites. 30 minutes can make all the difference from relaxed to rushed. Otherwise, I highly recommend this very good hotel.
If you are going to visit Monterrey, this is a PERFECT place to stay. My first visit was to visit the American Embassy to renew my passport. I arrived at the hotel early, without a lot of questions, they gave me my room key. Some hotels don’t or won’t allow you to check in until 3 PM. As I was speaking to the young lady about my request for the top floor, she noticed my accent and offered to speak English. Later, I found a lot of people working there, spoke English. The room was great, clean, well appointed, a view of the mountains and the shopping mall across the street. It was also very quiet, which helps because I’m a light sleeper. Below, in the same complex were a few restaurants, a specialty hamburger place called Holy Cow, a Buffalo Wild Wings, a salad place and a steak house. In the mall, there’s a PF Chaings with odd hours, a Shake Shack and a few others. The hotel arranged a taxi for my trip to the Embassy the next day. The driver, kind and courteous. If all hotels were this accommodating, why would you stay home? This is one of the BEST hotels I’ve ever stayed in, regardless of price. One last note, I briefly spoke to Hugo, the general manager, it proved my thoughts, the hotel and employees are a direct reflection of the management. Thank You Hugo. Great Job, Well done!
