Liegt zwar etwas außerhalb, dafür ist es sehr idyllisch gelegen und sehr schön angelegt um den See. Frühstück war, wie bei den meisten Hotels, zu bestellen. Hat gut geschmeckt. Zitrone für den Tee gabs leider keine. Die Zimmer waren modern und zweckmäßig eingerichtet, eine Minibar hat gefehlt. Dass es keinen Fernseher gab, hat uns nicht gestört.

We hadden twee nachten geboekt bij Burbi Lake Lodge in februari 2025. De lodge ligt heel afgelegen van Santa Elena. Uberhaupt moet je als je naar de Montaverde komt, zo’n 35 km rijden vanaf een snelweg naar deze lodge via soms echt bijna onbegaanbare wegen (enorme kuilen in gravelachtig wegdek). Via een hele slechte weg, waar ze in de Montaverde patent op hebben, kom je vervolgens vanuit Santa Elena na zo’n 20 minuten uit bij deze lodge. Inchecken ging prima, de medewerker legde ons alles goed uit. Hij vertelde ons dat veelal niet aan klanten wordt verteld dat de lodge afgelegen ligt aan een slechte weg, ver weg van de bewoonde wereld. Klanten zijn vaker hierdoor geïrriteerd. Er zijn geen lunch- of dinerfaciliteiten dus je moet daarvoor minimaal naar Santa Elena. ‘s-Avonds is dat nogal lastig over de slechte en onverlichte weg. In de buurt is verder niets. Wij hadden twee evenementen gepland vanuit dit hotel, maar we kregen mails dat het hotel niet binnen hun pickupfaciliteiten lag. Dus we moesten zelf naar een door hen aangegeven ophaallokatie komen. Kamers zijn netjes, bedden zijn uitstekend, badkamer is netjes. Er zijn voldoende parkeerfaciliteiten. De directe omgeving van de lodge ziet er een beetje bouwachtig uit. Toen wij er waren was het regenachtig, slecht weer met veel wind. Dan ben je al snel aan je kamer gekluisterd. Er is redelijke WIFI. Het ontbijt was goed, je kunt zelf kiezen aan de hand van een soort buffet. Op verzoek gebakken eieren, omelet etc. Wij zouden echter niet meer boeken voor deze lodge vanwege de nadelen die hierboven genoemd zijn. 2 nachten geboekt en betaald maar na 1 nacht zijn we toch vertrokken. Voor ons geen aanbeveler dus.

Excelente el servicio brindado y el trato de TODO el personal del hotel. La habitación impecable y camas muy cómodas. El desayuno muy delicioso, balanceado y bastante cantidad. Lugar rodeado de mucha naturaleza. Cuenta con un lago lleno de peces y con patos, que cuando caminas alrededor de él, te siguen a todos lados. Existen varios senderos, para los que les gusta disfrutar de la naturaleza y respirar aire puro. Excelente lugar. Lo recomendamos al 100% y fijo regresaremos muy pronto.

El lugar es increíblemente verde, frío y bello. Nos encantó, fue una excelente elección. La habitación demasiado confortable, impecable, acorde al precio. El desayuno delicioso, muy completo y fresco. El personal fue muy amable. 100% recomendado!!

El hotel es precioso. El desayuno una delicia. La atención de Anthony en recepción fue excelente, muy atento y servicial. Viajé con mi esposo y dos hijos menores de 3 años. Llegamos con lluvia pero la vista a la laguna y algunos juegos de mesa hicieron la tarde muy entretenida. Al día siguiente teníamos muchas opciones de actividades para realizar y visitamos un mariposario cercano. La ubicación es muy buena. Hay restaurantes y atracciones cerca. Muy recomendado!

L’hotel ha un buon rapporto qualità prezzo, le camere sono pulite e molto confortevoli, letti comodi. Ottima la colazione con le uova cucinate al momento nel modo preferito. Molto gentili e disponibili nel prenotare i tour, senza maggiorazioni di prezzo. Unico problema è che l’hotel è un po’ fuori mano e le strade per arrivarci non sono asfaltate. Dato che non c’è un ristorante interno , quando piove e al buio diventa davvero un po’ complicato..

Burbi es mágico. La habitación es moderna, todo está muy aseado, el personal es muy amable y siempre hay bebidas a disposición cómo te o chocolate caliente. El hotel en sí es una atracción, se puede caminar por el sendero que tienen o bien usar los botes en el lago. Si es cierto que la calle para llegar no está en las mejores condiciones pero siento que bajar nota al hotel por eso es injusto ya que en realidad no es culpa del hotel, es preferible ir en vehículo alto eso si. Un gran plus es que el check in es más temprano y el check out más tarde que el promedio de hoteles.

Un hermosisimo lugar metido en la montaña, rodeado de naturaleza y con vista a lago natural. Sumergirse en este lugar es conectar con naturaleza y reconectar contigo mismo. Muy agradable el personal y el desayuno muy rico! Muchas gracias!

Excelente opción para hospedarse con la familia. El personal del hotel siempre muy amable y accesible. Muy bonitos paisajes y las habitaciones con vista al lago son excelentes con amplios espacios. Muchas gracias al Administrador Anthony por su hospitalidad.

Hôtel au milieu des nuages de la forêt brumeuse de la région de Monteverde. Hôtel très confortable chambre spacieuse avec des grandes baies vitrées pour admirer la nature. La température y est beaucoup plus fraîche. L’accueil et le personnel très agréable et très attentionné. Le petit déjeuner parfait et vous avez même thé café gâteaux à disposition pour vos retours après vos balades dans cette forêt unique. Nous avons même fait une balade de nuit c’etait super mais de jour comme de nuit nous n’avons pas vu le Quetzal… merci au responsable de l’hôtel où nous avons passé un très bon séjour

Me encantó, es un hotel hermoso y tranquilo, rodeado de un lago y el bosque. Tiene sus propios senderos y en la mañana te despierta el sonido de los pájaros. El personal es lo más amable, tenía un problema de movilidad y siempre me ayudaron y me dieron una habitación cercana.

I’m sure this is a beautiful place with nice rooms, but unfortunately we were turned away at reception despite our paid reservation, due to my wife’s service animal. The reception was highly insensitive and disrespectful about the situation given it was close to sunset (it is a bit further removed from Santa Elena on a mostly unpaved road so took longer than expected), and we would have to find another hotel in the high season. The focus of the hotel was on their pet policy, with no understanding or respect for the fact it was a trained service animal. Our suggestions such as a deposit were not accepted and we felt very badly treated generally, as they let us wait while they were “considering” but after 30 minutes (and other guests helped) we received the same answer. We left as this had a highly stressful impact, and even after everything this episode would have been acceptable if it wasn’t for the fact that this hotel does not want to give us back our payment, while we didn’t spend the night. No respect, no decency and a very humiliating experience that I do not wish to anyone. As I just received an email from the hotel to “share my experience after my stay with them” I am duly obliging.

Wonderful place with very modern rooms and a spectacular view. Very helpful hosts and fantastic breakfast; especially the Burbi eggs. We really enjoyed the hanging bridges and the zip lining. The lodge is approximately 5 km away from the town. The roads are a real challenge. ;-)

Es un lindo hotel. Las habitaciones limpias y comodas, adaptadas para personas con sillas de ruedas. Los desayunos son variados y estilo buffet, entonces som abundantes. Tiene un lindo lago y senderos que llevan a un mirador. El único aspecto a considerar es que no ofrecen servicio de almuerzo y cena, entonces se debe ir al centro de Santa Elena o algún otro restaurante, pero todos quedan a mínimo a 20 minutos en calle lastreada. Igual en la habitación hay una minirefrigeradora y en el espacio común del hotel, donde se desayuna, tienen utensilios y está equipado para calentar en Microondas, tostador de Pan, etc, y café y te siempre.
