艾爾奎密斯塔蒙得維的亞迪歐酒店(Alquimista Montevideo)

We spent two nights in Alquimiste and we never wanted to leave! The guesthouse which is almost 100 years old is full of antique furniture, original artwork, and even has a lookout tower on the 4th floor boasting 360 views of the Carrasco neighborhood. It is a 2 minute walk from the beach and very close to some of Montevideo’s most famous restaurants. Carolina and Mark are delightful and happy to help with anything. The restaurant is lovely, and the breakfasts is a real treat. Hot croissants, freshly baked scones with marmalade and cream cheese, freshly squeezed orange juice, and beautifully plated granola we’re just some of our favorites. Staying at Alquimiste, you really feel like you are apart of something special!

Excelente por donde se lo mire. Se trata de una casona de principios del siglo XX en muy buenas condiciones. La ducha y el colchón (fundamentales) son de primera. Nos tocó el ático, y no sólo es una habitación amplia sino además impecable. La atención, el servicio, la decoración y la limpieza son perfectos. Posee un restaurante muy distinguido.

Una excelente estadía, no solo por la gran calidad de las instalaciones, también por el excelente trato recibido, tanto de los propietarios, Carolina y su marido, como todo el personal; Sofía especialmente. Nos gustó tanto que volveremos a la brevedad por allí.

Estimada Josefina, Disculpe el atraso en responder, estamos en un período con mucha demanda en el hotel y restaurante por la reactivación de la economía y la apertura de fronteras. Lamento informarles que el Hotel Alquimista está contratado hasta el 8 de Diciembre a una productora en forma exclusiva. Por lo tanto estamos escribiendo para informarle con tiempo para buscar alojamiento alternativo. Les ruego pasarnos sus datos bancarios para que pudiéramos devolver su pago. Como forma de compensar nos gustaría invitar al mismo grupo que iba a quedar en el hotel un té completo a nuestro costo. No es común que tengamos una situación de overbooking y nos hubiera encantado recibirlos a todos en Alquimista. Nuestros sinceras disculpas por los inconvenientes creados en esta oportunidad. I spent a week at Alquimista Montevideo and it was a very relaxing, restorative experience. It's a beautiful space, clearly decorated and maintained with care. I enjoyed leisurely breakfasts with big pots of tea in the cozy dining area and while it rained a bit while I was there, I did manage to get out into the lovely garden a couple times. Carolina and Mark were great hosts and the whole team was very friendly and professional. I would absolutely recommend Alquimista Montevideo to anyone looking for a special place to stay while in Uruguay.

We only stayed one night with Carolina & Mark as we wanted to be closer to the airport for an early flight but also still experience the city. Carrasco is a lovely neighborhood and the house is beautifully restored/maintained. Carolina went above and beyond and left us breakfast so we'd have something before the flight and loaned us a guide book about our next stop! They were both so welcoming and helpful and we wish we had staying another couple nights and gotten to try the restaurant as well. Hopefully there's a next time!

This B&B exceeded our expectations. Well appointed, beautiful garden where one could have breakfast and lounge. Personal touches everywhere. The highlight are the owners who are very welcoming, warm, helpful and generous. Everything was super clean. We stayed in the ALQUIMISTA Room. Very comfortable bed. High quality bed sheets, towels. Nice shower. We will happily stay there again when we come to Montevideo.

We thoroughly enjoyed the service and friendliness provided by the owners. It was a pleasure to stay there and we would highly recommend this very pleasant small hotel which is located in a very nice neighborhood.
