巴肯 - 聖凱瑟琳(Bakan - Sainte Catherine)

This was part of a University Visiting trip I booked and there are 5 of us. Overall everything was fine, We had a few issues: communication: had to call several times to get the information to enter the hotel (access codes, basic check in info…) Condition of the property: decorations were falling off the walls, the flooring was lifting, few dishes were still dirty, lamp plugs were bent and unusable, foldable sofa bed —＞ detatched parts, huge noisy ac unit right on top of the headboard of a bed, no black out curtains on the windows that over look a busy nightlife street Overall great location to visit Montreal and very open and welcoming space. Modern and comfortable given we were so many.

Perfect location! Big room with full sized kitchen. Come and go as you please through lock code.

When we checked in there was a bad leak in the ceiling. The cleaning staff put a bucket under to collect the water. The leak continued to get worse. We called every day for an update but they just kept putting us off. After our stay I called to ask for some sort of refund but they never responded. There people literally do not care once they have your money.

There’s zero support staff onsite besides a couple custodial staff, during and outside of business hours. To speak with any employees, you need to call the hotel’s number and speak to someone presumably working remotely. I didn’t get the check in email, so I had to contact ******* and ask them to get the hotel to send me the email while I was standing outside the hotel at 8:30pm. Good location and room looked like the pictures, but was unfinished and uncleaned — paint chipping, fixtures not anchored/falling off walls, my bedsheets were stained with brown (chocolate?) smears and the kitchen appliances were greasy, stained and had hair on them. Made me wonder how thoroughly the room is cleaned between guests, plus there is no broom or any cleaning supplies provided so you can barely keep the room clean yourself. Had to contact hotel staff on my last day and the employee asked how my stay was. I was honest and told him I wasn’t impressed and I wouldn’t stay here again. He said he was sorry I felt that way, but “could you leave a good review? It would really help us out.” I wasn’t going to write a review at all until he asked me to write a good one. Why would I lie about my stay at a hotel that I wasn’t happy with just because it would help them out? It felt kind of scummy to me to ask for a good review after I very clearly laid out what I didn’t like about my stay. That call was the nail in the coffin for me.

AC machine above the ceiling too loud during the night. Room’AC temp can’t be adjusted, too cold. Convenience and clean newer model washer/dryer good for summer days.

Great location. Well equipped kitchen, but needed to clean most dishes before using.

Situated perfectly of Ste.Catherine Street with everything you could wish for in close proximity. The appar**ent itself was fine, but also lacking a lot of necessities. For exempel, there was no closet and not even anything on the wall you could hang clothes on. It was also quite dirty in the appar**ent when we arrived. Lots of dust on the refrigarator etc. On a positive note, the bed was really comfy.
